“I have never seen this side of the republican party”

1976 and 1980 when Ronaldus Magnus sought the nomination.

I wish I knew how he succeeded in 1980.

.
He couldn’t lose after all those helicopters crashed in the Iranian desert on that feckless exposition of how far the US Army had fallen under King Peenut.

He started way before 1980. He had the grassroots take over the party starting at the precinct level. That’s the easy part - $10.00 to get on the primary ballot to run for precinct chairman.

Only elected people get to vote for Republican Leadership. So you start at the precinct level, then county, district, state levels all the way as far as you can go to toss out the establishment and put in conservatives.

Reagan took his message about the greatness of America and the American Spirit to the people and they recalled America’s greatness of the past and believed in the greatness to come!

Reagan also reminded us all that no matter how much money you have you only get one vote when you walk in the booth, and if you don’t have a dime you still have a vote that carries just as much weight as the richest elitist on elction day.

He won by word of mouth and hard work couple with an honest message about the the shining city on the hill called America, the world’s last best hope in the greatest country in the history of the world.

We heard what he said, we knew the truth when we heard it (still do), and voted accordingly. Americanism crosses all boundaries and knows no bounds. The best is yet to come, but freedom isn’t free, it comes at great cost and must be continually protected by those that are willing to live according to the constitution without compromise!

One thing he did was fight through ALL the primaries and caucuses and take it all the way to the convention.

If history is any use, if Gingrich does that, he will have to give concessions - big concessions - to obtain support of his party opponents in the general, or he will not even be endorsed by the “moderate” wing of the party.
