Pulaski County Sheriff's deputies are searching for a missing man.
According to Sheriff Jim Davis, 24-year-old Anthony "Tony" Locke was last seen walking from his home in the 4900 block of Old Robinson Tract Road, in Pulaski, this past Wednesday, January 25th.
Locke's family tells the sheriff's office that Tony suffers from depression, and they are "very concerned" about his welfare. The family added that Locke has a father and two sisters who live in Florida, and he may try to travel there without extra clothes or money.

I know this isn’t exciting news for most per se, but the young man lives 1/2 mile from my home. Helicopter was searching around my house this morning.
Sad anytime there is a missing person. Especially one known for being depressed as the outcome often isn’t too good. :(
Since he may be travling between VA and FL, figured I’d post as he could be anywhere and FR will get more attention than our local news.
I hope he is found safe.
We had a somewhat similar (an abduction) situation several years ago. When the sad end of the story hit very close to where we live, it became very personal for almost everyone.
Thanks. My husband said the helicopter has landed in the field behind our property (at a baseball field owned by the town).
Said there are about 20 vehicles and an ambulance just sitting there. I hope it’s only because they’re having a search party going out. After work (I work from home) I”ll go over and see if they need help since I’ve been running these hills/hiking and own property across the street for nearly 30 yrs.
Not related to this story, but Pulaski County was the scene of one of the lesser-known battles of the Civil War, the Battle of Cloyd’s Farm (or Cloyd’s Mountain) in May 1864. Two future Presidents of the US (Rutherford Hayes and William McKinley) took part in the battle. One of my cousins was taken prisoner in the battle and later died in a POW camp in Ohio.
Prayers up for this man and his family.
Do you see the post on here recently about the woman who called the Florida police, worried for her 60 something depressed husband who took off from Ohio for a vacation alone? The cops found him, stripped him, strapped him to a chair and pepper sprayed him to death.
