--snip to middle--Gingrich was, in the speech in question, I believe, giving Ronald Reagan a heads up that he should come down hard on the “moderate” Republicans and career civil servants who were frustrating his policies internally.

I was the director of the White House Office of Public Liaison from 1983 to 1985, the only woman member of the Reagan senior White House staff. In that position, I also directed the White House working group on Central America.

The ‘race’ is now between the Republican Establishment and the Republican Party Conservatives...Newt Gingrich represents the latter and he ruffles the feathers of the Establishment period. The attack ads put out by Romney are not for party or nation, they are for the entrenched establishment in the GOP...we need to focus on what is best for our nation and that just could be the man who can turn the tables back to our Constitution, our laws, and the conservative side of economics. Newt Gingrich is 100% better than Obama. Romney is more of the same ‘ol, same ‘ol political sound bites and action i.e., nothing.

What man in this race best represents our political ideals?

What man can best articulate those ideals in clear concise terms?

What man, interviewing for the job of President, has the best resume that would consistently show up AT THE TOP of all other resumes?

That man would be Newt Gingrich!

The man who brought out of the political dessert and secured a political majority that allowed us to Achieve:

Welfare Reform -
Despite Pres. Clinton’s regular demagoging of this important legislation and twice vetoing it, Newt took the possibility of real reform to the people, both Houses and developed political inertia that it became law.

Balanced Budget Amendment -
No one wanted this and it was thought to be completely impossible to reign in spending. Newt thought Americans would benefit from a government who for the 1st time would, by law, have to balance their books.

Lowered Capital Gains Tax -
Newt recognized that capital investment can develop more energy and motivation to spur growth. Another seemingly impossible feat and Newt guided the Congress and Senate and the President to lower the taxes on capital gains.

A Paycheck President -
With a Balanced Budget the US government was able to borrow at interest rates that were more favorable than before. As a result, more favorable interest rates became available to the business community who would use the extra money to invest in capital, systems and people to grow their companies.

A Paycheck President -
Lowered Capital Gains Tax meant that the investment community would realize gains that had very large and measurable results. The investment community began plowing money into new ideas and businesses.

The economy took off and Unemployment dropped from 7.2% to 4%! An amazing record.

A Paycheck President -
With more stringent qualification to receive welfare many people who were previously on welfare found gainful employment and for the 1st time in some families they broke the generational dependency cycle and became part of the producer society.

Think about that: A record of achievement.

Now Newt has a new plan that will:

Put Americans back to work, reduce unemployment and provide real security to Americans as they lay down at night knowing tomorrow their lives are getting better because they have a job.

Eliminate Regulatory Confusion and Release the Yoke of Onerous “rules”.
Frank/Dodd, Sox and certainly ObamaCare are priorities to Americans and Newt has said they will be dealt with on January 21, 2013.

Reduce Capital Gains. Just as it worked time and again a lowered Capital Gain Tax has resulted in more investment in more companies and puts American back to work.

Keystone Pipeline - This vital energy pipeline will put some 20,000 Americans to work and absolutely reduce our dependency on foreign oil. Newt wants to approve this immediately and is on his agenda for Day 1.

Much of the agenda can be accomplished with Executive Orders.

Of all the candidates, Newt is a Tea Partier from way back! --1994--

House Minority Whip Gingrich and 7th District congressional candidate Brenda Fitzgerald throw mock tea crates into the Chattahoochee River on April 15, 1994, as part of a "Taxpayer's Tea party" in Roswell, Georgia.

TAX DAY 1994 - Politicians play with ire - Gingrich , others stage stunts touting frugality
The Atlanta Journal and The Atlanta Constitution - Saturday, April 16, 1994
Author: ALEXANDER, KATHEY, Kathey Alexander STAFF WRITER: STAFF

As procrastinators put the finishing touches on their tax returns Friday, politicians across the nation carried out carefully crafted stunts aimed at landing the votes of irate taxpayers.

In Roswell, U.S. House Minority Whip Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) touted fiscal conservatism by staging a mock tea party on the banks of the Chattahoochee River . Conservative Republicans tossed empty produce crates into the river in symbolic re-enactment of the incident in Boston 221 years ago when colonists dressed as Indians dumped tea into the harbor in rebellion against the government.

More than 200 similar rallies occurred throughout the country, including Boston, San Francisco and Detroit , as candidates used the tax filing deadline as a forum for one-upsmanship on frugality.

“Americans literally work every day for months just to pay for a government that wastes their money,” said Gingrich , who is seeking re-election from the 6th district. “On the day taxes are due, we should remind you that you have every right as a citizen to protect yourself, your family and your wallet with your vote.”

My problem with Newt is he is another McCain on immigration and he actually believes trading with trade cheaters like China will improve their human rights record.
