We lifted our prayers up that conservative public figures would do the right thing, and it looks like they are.
I remember writing a very strongly-worded letter to Herman Cain asking him to do the right thing and NOT support Mitt Romney. If he follows through with that here tonight, maybe we do stand a chance of winning this after all.
There are many records of God working his will through incredibly flawed men in the Bible. Look at King David, sending Bathsheba’s husband to his death so he could have his wife for his own. Look too at the Apostle Paul, who spent his time hunting down Christians and wound up being one of the greatest witnesses.
But we should remember that sometimes God doesn’t answer our prayers the way we hope. Maybe Newt won’t win in Florida. We should pray for his success, but pray doubly hard for the fortitude to deal with the outcome, whatever it is.
