McCain Sees Anti-Mormonism in Romney's S.C. Loss

A reflection of this sense of ownership was evident in his take on last Saturdays South Carolina primary, which Gingrich won.
We havent had time to do a real analysis of the Romney race in South Carolina, but once we break that down, there was some element of anti-Mormonism in that vote, McCain asserted. Im not saying all of it, but there were elements there. There was nothing that Mitt Romney could have done.
Could that bias, if it exists, extend beyond the Palmetto State to others in the South if the primary drags on? Im not sure [but] I dont think so, McCain said, pointing to Georgia as one place he doesnt believe would hold Romneys religion against him.
McCain cited the possible anti-Mormonism in response to a query about the growing Tea Party support Gingrich has begun to draw, particularly in Florida.
The Arizona senator doesnt believe that support will be lasting because Gingrichs record doesnt track with issues dear to the movement, he said.

The one good thing about a Romney win would be that everryone in the US would have the pleasure of meeting the Mormon Protective Association (MPA).

And take Bob (It’s My Turn) Dole with him. I am tired of the voters making life-long politicians out of guys who are “war heros.” Both of these men are shining examples of “Peter Principle” politicians.

I didn’t hear the establishment make that argument about Huntsman in NH or about Mitten’s losing in Iowa. Oh well, they are the betters of us so it must be true!!! /S

Well let’s just say the voters have had enough of holding their noses to vote for the GOP RINOS.

If Romney was a pro-HealthControl, pro-TARP, pro-abortion, anti-gun Baptist he would have lost SC.
If Romney was a pro-freedom, pro-prosperity, pro-life, pro-gun Mormon he would have won SC.
It IS that simple!
PS: If Senator McCain had campaigned as hard against Obama as he does against conservatives, he would be President McCain.

Thanks Juan, you just explained exactly why Romney is unelectable. Southerners will not turn out for him enough to cancel out the black vote and Zero will win the South without losing usual Rat strongholds.

McCain lives in Arizona, a state in which the mormons have a large voting block. Rumor is that he plans to retire and have his darling daughter Meghan run for his seat. He's just planning ahead.
How could she possibly lose??
