I may not like Romney, but I’m not sure what’s up with all the paranoia.

It’s now close to evil if someone doesn’t agree with one’s particular choice for Republican candidate?

I’ve never seen this kind of atmosphere in a primary. It’s no longer about having political differences—no one is allowed to disagree.

You’d think we were all Newt all the time around here for years, as opposed to the reality—that he was hardly discussed here until a month or two ago.

Now it’s treason to even support someone else as Drudge and others do.

So a news organization supports someone I don’t. (And many others here don’t.) This is news?

I thought Drudge was supposed to be an impartial purveyor of news!?! Guess I was wrong.

Individually, we don’t possess a conservative news website that literally drives the coverage in the mainstream media. Individually, none of us are using this power for evil. What you are talking about is purely in your head. You don’t appreciate how much of a dirty rotten SOB Romney is.

Give it a rest, you are a one man Romney machine.

I never said it was evil to support someone with whom I don’t agree. However, when a cabal is in the mix, one has to wonder about the goings on.

Did you know that Drudge got rid of FR’s link?

Is this the usual primary season that you’ve witnessed for many years?

I think the reason most are so quick to bite at each other is the general inner feeling of dread that most of us have as a result of undestanding just exactly how grave the situation is in this country. Most of us believe we are on the cusp of watching the USA collapse and thus any perceived mistep is viewed as lethal. I admit that I personally am so pissed off at screwups and perceived self sabatoge within the GOP that I may end up voting 3rd party myself this year. In the end, I believe we’re done. The problems of this nation are too deep and serious to be solved with temporary political solutions.

I would suggest that the 'news' part of this is the misleading & deceiving stories, and way over the top, constant barrage by Drudge. It smells of coordination with a candidate, masquerading as news.

It’s going to be fun watching your frustration if Romney wins the nod.

You guys are going to learn a hard, painful lesson about the enemies you make and the people you step on to make it to the top.

The sheer number of people like myself who’ve always pulled the lever for Republicans, but will actively work for Romney’s defeat in the General, is going to blow your mind. I know, because I’m out here in the field.

Folks like myself will fall bleeding on the pavement from exhaustion working to save the Conservative movement from extinction by Team Mitt. There is noone I fear giving more power to that I do Team Romney - just look at what they’ve done to us with the power they already have.

I will rejoice on that wonderful day when Mitt Romney gives his last concession speech for the great victory is is for America and the Conservative movement.

What paranoia? Drudge is in the tank for Romney and has been for a long time.

basically no different than Obots...

and somehow that was bad for the country but this bizarre mentality we are seeing is good for the country.

It is no wonder our country is where it is. People have absolutely no desire to hear the truth or do the work to understand the truth.

God is watching and even though I think USA still has God’s blessings but I am not a fool to think that those could go away.

While you are correct in your analysis there is a reason why we are all so animated about supporting Newt and not Romney. Zero has destroyed the country so much we need a candidate who is 80% devoted to conservatism instead of 50%! Sounds funny I know but that's our choice.

If we can't be sure of undoing what the regime has done we are screwed as a country and many are beginning to realize it.

You sound like the clintonbots - no way could all this be true.

Mitt's been setting up his campaign for years! He has no good record to stand on. So getting the media on his side was his first order of business. He already had that part in full swing in '08. And his liberal agenda gives him the MSM's cover.

It’s not treason to support someone else over Newt, just to support RINO Romney over Newt. Sure Romney’s getting a lot of support from mindless, ignorant idiots who can be easily led around by the media. We can’t necessarily hold moral outrage against them. But when people informed enough to know better support him, they reveal themselves to be traitors to the conservative cause. Whether or not they’re unprincipled, have been paid off, or are just too cowardly or insecure about conservatism to back a conservative candidate, they are either useless idiots or the enemy within to us.
