Elliot Abrams Caught Misleading on Newt (Lying about Newt for Romney)

Yesterday we took note of former Reagan State Department official Elliott Abrams' piece over at NRO that went after Newt Gingrich on his relationship with Reagan. While voting regularly with Reagan as a young congressman from Georgia, Gingrich, claimed Abrams, "often spewed insulting rhetoric at Reagan, his top aides and his policies to defeat Communism." Abrams then goes on to cite " a famous floor statement Gingrich made on March 21, 1986."

Or sort of cites it.

In fact, I'm sorry to say, what appears to be going on here is that Elliott Abrams, a considerably admirable public servant and a very smart guy, has been swept up in the GOP Establishment's Romney frothings over the rise of Newt Gingrich in the Republican primaries. He is even being accused of trolling for a job in a Romney administration. No way!!!! Really????

What else can possibly explain a piece like the one Abrams penned on a day when Gingrich was being of a mysterious sudden targeted in one hit piece after another for his ties to Reagan? The pieces invariably following the Romney line that Newt had some version of nothing to do with Reagan.

Wonder if the IRS is looking at Abrams, Tranny Annie, Drudge and other piranhas turning against Newt.

Maybe their off shore accounts should be monitored by the IRS for recent deposits from so called unknown sources.

Mitt can buy all of the rinos like Abrams/Tranny Annie/Drudge, __________ posing as faux consultants. Look at Coulter Drudge, as probable example of whore$ cashing in on the Mitt Gravy Train.

The Reid/Pelosi/Frank/Dodd/Obozo economic disaster has apparently left a lot of formerly wealthy rinos like ____?____ very susceptible to Romney's 30 pieces of silver. So they are cashing in for their 30 pieces of Romney’s silver and selling out to become piranha consultants to trash Newt!:

I support Rick Santorum and believe he would be the best of the four for President as he has the highest character amongst them but Newt Gingrich would be my second choice. I would find it very difficult, if not impossible,to vote for the other two, Romney a liberal marxist and a liar and Ron Paul, the anti semite who is a blame America first guy, though Paul is the funniest of the 4.
The conservatives of America have have little choice and no representation in DC now days though their numbers are great.

You stopped me there with IF A LIE. Are you not convinced and if you have about 100,000,000 to create ALL those ads and advertising dollars. It's like the clintons - there are so many lies, no one would believe them all.

Simply put - Mitt is a walking lie! He's on that stage and remainds on that stage only because of lies and backstabbing. WHAT does he have going for himself - what are his accomplishments FOR America? You lie and backstab when you have NOTHING!

He embraces his romneycare like barry embraces the off shoot of it - obamacare. His lie is saying they are different and he would repeat obamacare. It's laughable that anyone believes that - yet, there he is still on stage. I'd like to drop kick him off the planet with his con job on America and trashing any conservative that opposes him or his evil agenda. And that includes conservative Sarah.

Sorry, I believed that hype, also, when I first watched the debates. When he started lying about Newt, his 'self appointed' halo fell off. Then this a.m. I read some of his accomplishments and they certainly aren't what I call conservative. If they were on Newt's record, they'd be having a field day.

At this point, the one with the highest character is Newt. I have not heard him lie against any one of the candidates. In fact, he's praised them when applicable.
