Florida State Rep. Scott Plakon endorses Rick Santorum

Florida State Representative Scott Plakon endorsed Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum Thursday. Mr. Plakon’s endorsement is likely to have little impact on Mr. Santorum’s chances of winning the Florida Republican primary as the Pennsylvania Republican is on track for a third place finish in the Sunshine State.

“Rick Santorum is a man who has consistently shown that he can be trusted to stand by his deeply held conservative principles regardless of the way the political winds blow and will be a steady, even hand in leading America towards prosperity and liberty again,” Mr. Plakon said in a campaign press release.

I completely agree. I think some of you should take another look at Santorum vs newt. He could beat mitt and then the Bam.

Why should he? What if Santorum is more conservative than Ginrich?

perhaps but you actually need a candidate to do that.

Santorum is gone from florida.

no rallies
no commercials
no radio spots
no appearances

zip, nada, none.

there is nothing to look at regardless of his bona fides.

It is either Newt or Mitt in florida.
Tuesday is a stop romney day not the general election.

Stop the RINO save the party.

Like voting against right tto work laws?

That is what the people of his state wanted. He is suppose to represent PA. Should he do what Ben Nelson did to us in Nebraska? Over 70% of Nebraskans did not want obamacare and he went with the party rather than what people of his state wanted.

I believe Rick was the clear winner last night and I’m praying he wins the presidency. He does not have the baggage of the other candidates. Newt is my second choice.
It seems we live in a time where people are looking for extremes rather than looking for a person OURS AND DAUGHTERS CAN LOOK UP TO AND BE PROUD OF; Just watch TV for 5 minutes. Everyone is imperfect, but do we have to compromise so much because we think this is the only way to win? Don’t get me wrong I think Newt has changed, but confrontation is only a part of what we need to win and it is something that Rick exibited last night. Obama has driven us to seek out ONLY who we think can win and everything else about that person does not matter. I just hope Newts tactic doesn’t’t wear old. It’s either Rick or Newt because I will not vote for a man who’s religion slanders mine.

Ask yourself one question: Who, of the 4 candidates, do you want your sons and daughters to grow up to be like?

“Why? Is there some reasoning behind your vitriol?”

The fact that he isnt going to win?

He isn’t even competing on the airwaves, and drawing fewer people that Romney to his rallies!

It is a USELESS endorsement characteristic of the delusional nature of Santorum supporters that honestly think this guy is going to win in Florida, beat Romney, and then beat Obama!

Other than a pound of weed and some heavy vodka, there is no reality behind this charade of support, and it is doing nothing more than siphoning votes from Newt that needs all that he can get to stop Mitt cold.

So yes, it is vitriol, and it isn’t misplaced.

He should vote the way he explained the Declaration of Independence, that rights are given by our Creator, life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.

Denying a man an opportunity for job because he refuses to join a Union, is an attack on all three.

This is just absurd.

I’m glad Perry did what he did before the SC primary. He actually showed some real selflessness that lead to beating Romney there, and frankly all of the assumptions of him being stupid were misplaced.

He actually gave a damn about stopping Romney, while Santorum is just going to keep on hanging around until he blows through all of his supporters cash.

Denying a man an opportunity for job because he refuses to join a Union, is an attack on all three.

And a man's life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is also attacked by the very same concept of Global Warming.

No question; that it is to Romney’s benefit that Santorum stay in. And no question; we are being played for fools. And the MO is working.

And Newt didn't vote on that and has since changed his mind.

Santorum voted to deny individuals their right to work.

None of them are perfect. But for every mistake Santorum has made, I can give you five mistakes the other candidates have made.

Even Reagan admitted that he made mistakes. Funny how some folks put blinders on when it comes to THEIR candidate.

It is the Santorum supporters putting him up as the paradigm of virtue.

The only question now is who can stop Romney, and it isn't Santorum, who isn't even in double digits.

If your guy was competitive it would be a different story, but all he is doing is bleeding votes from Newt.

I liked Perry also, but I was glad he dropped out.

It’s a 3-man race; they each won a caucus/primary.

Not surprising that Romney won liberal NH.

And after Newt received standing ovations in his last two debate performances, it’s not surprising that he won the next contest.

Florida is a snow bird state with many liberals, so Romney, will have a good chance there, too.

If Newt doesn’t have another great debate, he might not do so well again. Santorum is a fantastic debater.

It’s really too soon for anyone to be dropping out, because we can’t judge the feeling of the entire country yet. We still have 47 states to go.

He probably won't. There's one debate in the entire month of February for now. The further from debates we get, the better for Santorum. His skills have been shown on the campaign trail. He was long overdue for a break.
