All the members of the Republican Party who have been complicit and collaborative in the destruction of our nation in the past few decades always talking about smaller government while never fighting against the tide of creeping socialism have now come out against Newt Gingrich.
Yesterday, at National Review, Elliot Abrams attacked Newt Gingrich for attacking Ronald Reagan from the right.
Today, it is Bob Dole’s turn.
Bob Dole, you will remember from George Stephanoupolos’s memoir of his time in Clinton’s White House, totally cut the legs out from under Newt Gingrich and House Republicans during the government shut down. According to the Democrats, they were within twenty-four hours of caving to the House Republicans’ demands, but Bob Dole surprised them all by caving first.

Oddly, I understand that Phyllis Dole like Jackie Gingrich and Carol McCain still supported their ex-es in their political bids. They used to day John Jay was a sell-out with his Jay's Treaty too. Another thing about Dole, the Ford people cut him off in 1976 when he talked about "Democrat wars in this century." Bad move on Bob's part
too bad we conservatives won’t go to the mat for our cause like the Romney establishment people have for theirs.. no Santorum drop out and endorsement.. no Sarah Palin endorsement and campaign for Newt in Florida.. when Romney was against the wall ALL the guns and endorsements came to bear on Newt and did all our guns come out?.. not even close

He doesn’t really have much of a campaign organization. You can’t win just by hopping on planes to catch the next debate. After Perry dropped out, Newt is the only one left who has a chance and even that isn’t guaranteed.
At first I did not know where Rush was coming from talking about all of these attacks on Newt but he was trying to tell us that Nancy Reagan already knew who Newt was and all of this disinformation dump is just that.
Bob Dole who knows exactly the truth behind the so called fine Newt paid comes out and uses it against him

And if anybody was against Reagan it was Romney and there are ample quotes and video to prove it

Romney is for an assault weapons ban so I guess those conservatives don’t really care about their guns.
The powers that be do all they can to prevent real conservatives from getting in the senate. And even if one or two get there anyway, they are quickly co-opted.
I’d call DeMint, Lee, Johnson from WI and Rubio as solid. The rest are party schills who will go along with the moderates/democrats.

One has to wonder if the election of Romney and his RINO cohorts would be any better than Bam. Cohorts as Rove, Dole, Bill Crystal, Charley Crist, Krauthammer, McCain et. al. Romney with his off shore bank accounts, 3 mill in taxes for making 22 mill, Romneycare, for abortion before being against it, against guns before being for it,making money off freddie mae and freddie mac, running off to Paris during Viet Nam claiming to be a missionary. Romney as POTUS......pass the barf bags and gas masks.
I really hated Dole when he went out against Forbes. Romney too. Yes I remember the ad and was sick of Romney even back then because I actually saw the original in the NY Times!

the guy barely won a pot luck supper straw poll weeks ago and he’s waiting for Gingrich to walk away and hand it to him to regroup?.. is Gingrich supposed to drop out in June and say here Rick take my delegates I self destructed.. oh by the way Romney has more than enough delegates for victory maybe he’ll give you some of his so you can regroup?

Chrissakes! Dole was a frickin pitbull when he was running for VP against Carter-Mondale, then he turned into Casper Milquetoast for the rest of his career.
Apparently you missed Jim Rob's post yesterday that showed Rush was not attacking Newt.
You should have read the entire transcript to undertand the full impact of what Rush was saying. I listened to Rush yesterday and in no way did I come away thinking he was going after Newt.
