It was just two short weeks ago that Santorum was confused about inalienable rights....
Santorum:
(1:18) - "The rights within our Constitution, they are not unlimited rights. There is and can be limitations on them..."
(1:35) - "There are limitations to all freedoms. There are not absolute rights."
Well he is right. The rights we have are not unlimited:
1) We have a right to free speech but not to libel;
2) We can bear arms but not a nuclear weapon;
3) we can be secure in our home but can be served a warrant;
4) Goverment cannot take private property for public use UNLESS just compensation is given.
Etc...
Name me an “absolute right”.
You might want to define what YOU think “absolute” means, while you are at it.
Throughout the history of the US, the USSC has repeatedly upheld the view expressed by Santorum, including justices such as Alito and Thomas. Your “roll tape” demonstrates your total misunderstanding if you believe Santorum is wrongheaded based on those quotes.
