Drudge has never been said to particularly relish his homosexuality or embrace it; in fact his gay romantic/sexual side has been described (when alleged) as conflicted and awkward.
David Brock, the former right-wing writer, wrote in his memoir Blinded by the Right about a “scary” date in which Drudge, after bringing Brock flowers and navigating the Santa Monica gay strip “like a pro,” stepped on a competing suitor’s foot “really hard” (in Drudge’s purported words) in a nightclub to scare him away from Brock.
Alec Baldwin stated that Drudge made an advance on him in an ABC Studios hallway, a proposition that had “kind of a creepy quality to it.”
Drudge denied he was gay to the Miami New Times in 2001, even as he launched into a disquisition on (as the New Times put it) “the reigning DJ king of gay circuit parties” and summarized his nightlife thusly: “I go to straight bars, I go to gay bars.”
So, after listening to Rush today, I assume you’ll be going after him as anti-Newt now. You also mischaracterize my prior statements on the other thread.
I said he linked to articles, etc. I also said that I remembered him putting up links unfavorable to more than just Newt.
Your sarc stuff is getting old. Why don’t you explain in detail why some of the stuff you complain about is wrong or false about the articles instead of whining about the messenger(s)?
Rush just spoke about some of what has been said is true and offered up contradictory statements Newt has made. I’m trying very hard here to not Newt-bash because I intend to vote for him. However, your blind support isn’t helping to convince anyone except those like you.
Then why doesn’t he post the articles that prove the attacks on Gingrich are false? “Newt was fined.” False. “Newt was lobbyist.” False. “Newt opposed Reagan.” False. Furthermore, why doesn’t Drudge have any pieces up questioning Romney’s ties to Freddie or Bain, or questioning Romney’s so called conservatism?
