Drudge, conservative media criticize Newt Gingrich

Newt Gingrich better hope voters who lapped up his delicious hits on the “elite media” and liberals don’t read the Drudge Report this morning. Or the National Review. Or the American Spectator. Or Ann Coulter. If they do, Gingrich comes off looking like a dangerous, anti-Reagan, Clintonian fraud. It’s as if the conservative media over the past 24 hours decided Gingrich is for real, and they need to come clean about the man they really know before it’s too late. This is just a sampling of what’s hitting Newt:

This whole dump on Gingrich seems to be backfiring, at least with me.

I never heard any of this about Gingrich before. So the GOP establishment is basically telling us they were keeping this information secret about one of our biggest leaders for years. Presumably they were hiding the truth to protect their own interests.

I’m left wondering, why would I now trust them that Romney is conservative?

So when everyone is a proven liar, I just gotta go with my gut and pick the guy that can actually articulate what I believe.

I NEVER read Drudge. There is no subject I can think of about which I wish to have his opinion.

When I study available information, and use it to form my opinions, Mr. Drudge is every bit as much of a ‘non-entity’ in my thought processes as are Barack Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and Tim Kaine
