Untraceable weapon stash? I thought only right wing extremist types did stuff like that.

I used to have an untraceable weapons stash but I lost it in a tragic boating accident.

Some LEO’s have been known to do this; particularly in large cities for obvious reasons. Pls don't take that as a condemnation of LEO’s in general; most of the ones I have known or met were (and are) highly professional, courteous and fair ...but, then, I live in Central VA.

Of the estimated 200M private firearms in the U.S. (not to mention 11 billion rounds of private ammo), I’ve heard that at least 60% are not registered anywhere. Inherited, bought before 1970, brought in from another country, cap and ball, muskets, etc.
