Reid Discusses State of the Union Address(harry says Tea Party must go;)
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid ^ | January 25, 2012 | Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid

Posted on 01/25/2012 3:43:04 PM PST by mdittmar

Senator Reid today reacted to President Obama's State of the Union Address:

“President Obama offered common-sense solutions that will create jobs and put our country on a path to economic fairness. The policies proposed by the President will narrow the inequality gap in our country while making America a leader in clean energy technology, and continue the revival of our manufacturing sector. With millions of middle-class families in Nevada and across America making sacrifices every day, Democrats are united behind the principle that millionaires and billionaires should pay their fair share as well.

“To turn these job-creating proposals into reality, we need Republicans to work with us, and refrain from turning straightforward issues into all-or-nothing battles. I am optimistic that this year, Republicans will turn away from the Tea Party, and listen to the American people instead.”

Ok, I’m confused now, Harry, I thought the TEA Party people were American Citizens AKA the American People? Or are we just supposed to sit down on our hands and let you and your fellow Politicians do whatever you want to do without us having any say in the matter other than paying for it.

Is there any website where Tea Party activist can exchange information about conservative candidates from their districts running in national elections? I’d like to support more of them, but I don’t want to send support to a moderate progressive Republican. TIA

The Establishment Republicans say the Tea Party must go also. In fact, I would say that the Establishment Republicans hate the Tea Party members more than the Democrats hate the Establishment Republicans.

Funny thing is, I believe the GOP agree with him on the part about the TEA party types ought to be marginalized.

This is why the only solution to this issue is actually to work toward a much stronger 10th amendment. the states are the only way we can actually unify this country. Governing from the top down there will always be this issue, factions of the country living without representation. States having the powers not specifically enumerated to the Federal government will actually allow ALL Americans- including the” Tea Party” types Hairy Reid seeks to dismiss- to have a home in our own country. Don’t like the way your state does things, we would have a choice to move to a more representative government. States rights are the only way that liberals, conservatives, and everyone in between can stop this ridiculous infighting and actually work toward the pursuit of happiness.

“(harry says Tea Party must go;)”

cause the kicked his butt so bad in the last election.

Democrats believe in royalty and overlords, not free people. You’all need to just shut up and do as he says.

LOLOLOL!!!

The Tea Party will be there LONG after the Occupy goons are gone.

I fully expect that the Occupiers that grow up will probably join the Tea Party.

Actually Harry, the Tea Party needs to simply put you out to pasture.
1st by taking over the Senate, so you can whine from the shadows, as Nancy has been doing.

As you probably know, there are lots of different tea party organizations. One of the biggest is the Tea Party Express. Their web site is www.teapartyexpress.org. Be advised, though, if you sign up, they will frequently ask for donations to various candidates they endorse.
