—He also used the usual trick of speaking about events in America as though he’s running for office for the first time. He’s running against things that are happening that are his policies that he is pretending he’s had nothing to do with.—

I said in another thread that parts of the speech sounded like “obama vs obama”. That is, if you did not know it was him speaking, some parts of this speech sounded like someone running against whoever has been in the white house the last three years.

I laughed out loud when I heard it on the radio on my way to work this morning - and on NPR of all places. :-D

I didn’t watch because I figured it would be the same old crap and it’s better for my blood pressure. Sounds like I was right.

I was watching Liam Neeson in “Taken.” I saw the last 10 minutes and it sucked til the last line. Obama could have done something bold and made news last night...come out and given a 10 minutes speech and lay out the challenges for the country, and he would have gotten some great press. But he didn’t...he did the same thing he and clinton always do. String a bunch of focus-tested lies together til everyone’s eyes glaze over. The Gettysburg Address lasts about two minutes...nuff said.

It was total crap.

Also, he seemed to look very yellow, honest, and it wasn’t my TV, everyone else was fine.

The problem is, the left has succeeded in so damaging education in this country, that there are an awful lot of fools that will by into this. They think that Warren Buffet is actually paying LESS TAXES than his secretary, which he is not. He is paying a LOWER PERCENTAGE of his salary than she is: if she makes $100K and pays 30% she pays $30K in taxes, if he is paying 15% of HIS salary, let’s say $100 MILLION, he is paying $15 Million in taxes..., but I am sure theere are a ton of idiots out there that accepted that Buffet was somehow paying less. Kind of like the “musician” in “Spinal Tap” who believes that his amp is louder because “...it goes to 11!”
