Mitt Romney attacked his GOP presidential rival Newt Gingrich over what has to date been one of Gingrich’s most effective debate methods — going after the moderators and the media for questions he deems inappropriate.
“It’s very easy to talk down a moderator,” Romney said Wednesday on Fox News. “The moderator asks a question and then has to sit by and take whatever you send to them. And Speaker Gingrich has been wonderful at attacking the moderators and attacking the media.”

I think people are recognizing this is a battle for this country on many fronts...though slow in them coming around. I think Palin made us all see there needed to be a fighter out in front....she rose the Banner and like her or not she called this fight for what is.
Palin struck the fight in all of us where we had been formerly knocked down and almost out. I will always admire her for that....and most should.
I also think Newt knew she had done that but I doubt he thought it would be a woman who would turn the tide. He has always supported her efforts as well.
BTW I'm not a Palin-ite but I sure can recognize credit where it is due. ...and no surprise to me Todd got on board with Newt.

You're right about the linked article....more than worth the read on Newt being 'Reagans Lieutenant'....it was a great read! All should do so.... including those who question Newt's candidacy.
There is the old political adage that you never go to war against people who buy ink by the barrel.
That adage does not apply anymore because every citizen in the United States now has the same access to the internet that the NYT and all the print media have. And the NYT no longer buys ink by the barrel. They buy it by the pint.
The news and opinions of this country are no longer the sole exclusive property of the MSM. Thanks to Al Gore's invention, that property belongs to all of us now.
I say that when the MSM is attacking you and coming to the defense of your enemies, that it is a good strategy to fire back. They have no real power anymore. It is all an illusion, a shadow of the power they once held.

In Romney’s case he is being programmed with the latest techniques used by religious cults. Mitt is so programmed that could put his hand over a flame and never feel a thing unlike G. Gordon who charbroiled his hand to prove how much pain he could endure.
Yes, I agree with both you on the what’s and the why’s - I was just putting it out there that those folks are also inside Newt’s camp - I’ve dealt with some of them - and to some degree they have his ear. And of course, they dominate the Mitt staff and Mitt is more or less a totally handled creature of the BS they feed him - which is why of course he “cannot connect” with the voter - and of course they have “no idea” why this is the case.
Newt does better when he ignores these folks.
