You are spot on with your observation that these are not times for Luke warm presentations of the kind served up tonight by Mitch Daniel.

Quite obviously, the boomlet about bringing Mitch Daniels into the primaries at this point is a desire not shared by Mitch Daniel himself, or at least not shared by his wife. that is because the speech he gave tonight was not a campaign speech for Mitch Daniels, it was a bland response designed more with maintaining neutrality among the candidates than with opposing Obama in mind.

In any event, the whole idea of some white Knight stepping into the primary contest at this point is so remote and improbable as not to be worthy of serious discussion.
