He is a good speaker and has the ability to inspire people, obviously. Even when he and everyone around his know that he is not telling the truth he sticks his chin in the air, pauses and sounds committed and convincing.

It's too bad he wasn't sincere in what he said and what he intends to do for to our country.

I am fearful that he will gains strength while the republican candidates tear each other apart.

You have to have a strong stomach and carefully parse what he was saying:

Basically it was double-down on everything he’s been doing so far. As well as castigating Congress, acting like this has been none of his fault and pretending to be the outraged outsider. And shamelessly pandering. And basically lying about his intentions. Not to mention lying that we’re on our way back and that we’re still as great a nation as ever.

All the while hitting the soaring preacher cadences to make you think he was fracking Cicero.

If you only listened to the tones rather than picked apart the text you’d be mindlessly sieg-heiling.
