NYT: Gingrich 84% chance of winning Florida
Charleston (WV) Daily Mail ^ | January 23, 2012 | Don Surber

The race for the Republican Party nomination is now Newt Gingrich’s to lose.

Again.

What a difference 48 hours makes. On Saturday night, as the votes were being tallied in South Carolina, Nate Silver of the New York Times gave Mitt Romney a 93% chance of winning Florida. Today, Nate Silver of the New York Times gives Newt Gingrich an 86% chance of winning Florida.

Huh?

The first prediction was based on polls that showed Romney up by 12 (Quinnipiac), 11 (Survey USA), 22 (Rasmussen), 26 (Sunshine State News/VSS), 24 (CNN/Time) and 15 (PPP).

Then came the debates last Monday and Thursday.

This week, Rasmussen has Newt up by 9, and Insider Advantage has him up by 8.

The previous polls were not wrong. The Momentum shifted rapidly and radically. The national polls will catch up with Florida — provided Newt Gingrich continues his impersonation of Ronald Reagan 1976 and 1980.

I am listening to Charles Krauthammer on Fox News as I write this and he is talking about how “emotional” the voters in South Carolina were.

Yes.

That is what it is all about.

Newt rallied the troops.

Newt led.

As Lincoln said of Grant: “He fights.”

People do tend to get emotional when they see their country going down the tubes and the choice is between a person of passion and a robot.

I fear the GOP establishment had rather see Obama win than Gingrich.

Any chance that after he’s sworn in Newt can get Congressional Medals of Honor for Juan Williams and John King?

Someone pointed out today that if there’s one thing Newt has, it’s passion. That seems to be the sources of both his virtues and his vices. It’s worth pointing out if people are wary about Newt’s “baggage.” There might be no way to ever get a truly passionate leader who hasn’t expressed those passions inappropriately from time to time.

Remember folks, this is a marathon, not a sprint. Yes, I agree with Newt. Yes, I will vote for him in the primaries. But we (collectively) have to keep this movement going. On top of it all, we have to make sure we get the Senate back and keep the House of Representative. Although a few more seats in the House would be nice.

People are tired of Republicans who may well be conservative but lay down and take crap from fascist democrat thugs and the RINOs who side with them. Everyone knows that even if Romney resisted the urge to side with the fascist democrat thugs and their RINO allies, he would surely just lay down and take crap from them.

I think that's what's really behind so many Republicans and Independent conservatives bitching about Bush. He could have unleashed members of his administration if he didn't want to personally respond to fascist lies and propaganda, but instead, he kept some of the best street fighters a President could ever have in his corner reigned in and playing nice. People figure that if he didn't even bitch about being run over how conservative could he have really wanted to be? We'll never get our Republic back in order by playing nice no matter how much anyone may wish that were possible or who thinks that they have to be nice to show they are Christians and not like the fascist scum who have been the majority party for nearly eighty years.

Newt has no intention of lying down and taking crap, doesn't owe the party bosses squat, has a very long memory as well as an excellent knowledge of and understanding of history, and would like nothing better than to demonstrate to many fascist democrats and RINOs alike that payback really is a bitch.

On top of that, he has never gone along with the mass murder of infants. Just the fact he objects to the mass murder of infants and delivered most of the Contract With America in spite of Clinton and his fascist party should be sufficient reason to want him as President.

Who can honestly call themselves a conservative of any sort and even consider Snitt Romney? Who can honestly say that Paul is anything other than a sometimes coherent idiot savant intent on keeping Widdle Barry Soetoro in office? Who can honestly believe that Rick Santorium is both ready to be President and capable of beating Barry Soetoro were Rick the nominee?

Newt or Neutered, what we're going todecide this year, so stop the screwing around and get behind Newt with your dollars and whatever else you can to to help him win in November.

JMHO

Obviously, Silver doesn't know what he is talking about and is swinging wildly with the wind.

Careful everyone lets not start counting chickens just yet.

If Newt wins FL If becomes much easier for Newt to get to Super Tuesday. However if by some miracle Romney wins FL It is going to be a long and hard slog for Newt to get to Super Tuesday.

That is why the Establishment Reps(RINOs) are going to through everything including the kitchen sink at Newt this week.

FL voters need to be prepared. It is going to get very nasty very fast. The loser of FL made not survive.

IMHO.
