I live in a county that has almost no Republicans. The people are 98% social conservative, and majority fiscal conservatives.

So how come they are democrats

Their parents were Democrats, and they grew up believing that the Democrats were for the little guy, Republicans were just for the Rich.

They are not political junkies, and could not tell you what either party’s platform is. They are beginning to realize that this is NOT their father’s Democrat party, though.
