“...there are no “little sins” or “big sins”, there are only sins...”
I am no theologian, so the following is based on what I call “wiki knowledge” which is to say, a poor excuse for knowlege. But, from Mark, Chap 3.......
“But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, but is guilty of an eternal sin.”
Now, there is a lot of disagreement on what it means to blaspheme against the Holy Spirit, but one definition is...
“...the deliberate labeling of good as evil...” which I believe is similar to the Catholic concept of impenitence.
My take on this is that while the act of homosexuality itself is simply another sin, the attempt to persuade society that it is not a sin, and that those who are, quite naturally, disgusted by these acts are the ones who are evil, is an “unpardonable sin.”
But then I don’t presume to speak for the Lord.
All who call on the name of Jesus will be saved, (even repentant homosexuals, see 1 Corithinans 6:9-11) - but if you reject Jesus unto death, you will not be saved - even the thief on the cross "got in at the closing bell" (but not AFTER the closing bell).
