Mitt, the enemy is Obama.
You know that, right?
He can’t attack a fellow Repub in those terms and hope to then win the support of Gingrich’s supporters when the dust settles.
Romney is a disaster.
This tack will not help you Mitt
and I’m not sure FOX can pull it out for ya

Newt looks much more like a leader now than does a man with a near unlimited warchest and the biggest news network in the world in his pocket who seems to always be running for president and losing
Not only can't FOX pull it out for Mitt, they're dragging themselves down with him.
The ultimate insult would be if when Palin’s deal with them ends soon, she leaves and goes to CNN for their election coverage and CNN ends up beating FOX in the ratings.
Watching Palin and Carville chat it up for a couplehours on election night would be gold.
“Talk show host???” REALLY???? FUMR!!!!
My God. Have we really sunk so low that our choices are Romney or Gingrich? This is just insane.
Newt should gently scold him in the debate and tell him his attacks make him look unpresidential.
Mucho better!
How Newt should respond:
“I don’t know why Mitt is so angry....”(pause to let it sink in) “but I’m glad to see that he’s stopped relying exclusively on his SuperPAC to launch these false attacks and is at least doing it himself.”
“On the other hand I am little bit concerned about this erratic behavior. He loses a primary and all of a sudden he goes from playing the unflappable CEO to launching dishonest raving attacks.”
“Now I appreciate that desperate people do desperate things. And I understand that Governor Romney probably expected that after running for six years and spending tens of millions of dollars he could essentially buy the nomination. It’s nevertheless a little unsettling to see him behaving so irrationally.”
“I’ve dealt with most of these falsehoods and half-truths a thousand times and you can see my detailed refutation at Newt.org. But maybe the governor can take time from his character assassination to answer one simple question: What has he ever done for the conservative movement? After all, like it or not, my record is pretty public from GOPac to the Contract with America and more. But can he cite a single - just ONE - policy initiative he has ever advanced for conservatives or to advance conservatism?”
“I’m just curious.”

I actually watched more CNN than Fox this time, because their coverage was better and less anit-Newt.
underscoring
Mayeb a nice tilt of the head, a quick smile, and a “well...there you go again”
I think they’d just end the debate and the primary right there
Does CNN have Rove on? Can't stand Rove.
I'm fed up with Gingrich's opponents spewing this stuff. Not one of them has specifically outlined their objectives as President. Instead, we hear this crap from Romney and Santorum:

.
Even before, during and after the debates, not one of these clowns has cited a plan; whereas Gingrich published this last September:
Newt Gingrich Outlines the 21st Century Contract with America (three parts)

They talked about it as being a blow out. They had a chart of the counties and showed how he totally smashed mittens and how much better that McCain did last time.
Then they went through all the demograhic, educational, gender etc. Newt carried all the groups they have been saying he couldn't get. The only ones he didn't get a majority in was: High income(more than 200,000) and those with advanced degrees post college degree.
