COLUMBIA, SC -- They won't say it publicly -- they don't want to appear churlish or disrespectful on a night they took a serious beating -- but it's no exaggeration to say that even after losing the South Carolina primary to Newt Gingrich, members of Mitt Romney's circle find it absurd -- almost crazy -- that the former House speaker has even a ghost of a chance of becoming the Republican Party's presidential nominee.
In their view, Gingrich has barely run a campaign. As they see it, Team Gingrich doesn't have the money, professionalism, brains, or organization of the Romney campaign. They see the former Speaker as somewhat unstable and vulnerable to continued attack on issues of ethics and morals. And most of all, they see Gingrich as a candidate who owes his very existence to the never-ending series of Republican debates -- and not much more.

Liberals-- gotta love 'em.
Maybe they will take their ‘cash for clunkers’ campaign and go home.
For me t was a stand up and cheer moment when Gingrich simply said "No" when the media elites tried to open the DC debates with his personal life.
Why Gingrich won — Why Romney lost
Cause Gingrich is brilliant and Mitt is a stiff.
Nope, It was on a spoof on saturday night live where the actor playing Dukakis said that after the guy playing Bush made an incomprehesible statement.
Romney got a “bounce” just before New Hampshire ~it’s called Christmas I think. Then, he started the long slide to the bottom ~ of course his bottom is still near 20% so he’ll continue to hang in there trying to use credentials checks, peculiar notions of who got on the ballot, and other tricks to amplify that 20% into something meaningful in terms of delegates.
Will Romney and his band of elites ever realize that people just don’t like him?
Newt has advisors. He loses them to Perry.
Perry is at 35%. These new advisors he hires help him to 6% immediately.
Bachmann, with highly paid Rollins, crashes and burns.
Cain, with no advisors, surges.
Then Newt, without his advisors, surges.
Hmm.
Maybe it’s a good thing not to have these advisors.
Note this and mark your calendar. Romney will be the nominee.

Their egos are so big they can’t see past them, hope they continue in that frame of mind.
If the MSM and the GOP RINOs get Mitt to the finish line he will be destroyed in the general.... I guarantee it.
They just can’t see why no one can stand Mitt.
I guess all those BYU students who went to South Carolina to help Mitt were about as successful in getting converts to Romney as they are to Mormonism. Hardly any Mormon missionaries ever successfully convert their prospects and many go home with serious doubts about Mormonisms after being confronted by knowledgable Christians.
Newt won because he’s an intelligent man with a spine of steel. He doesn’t put his finger in the air to see which way the wind is blowing and he tells liberals exactly what they are....liars.
R-Money is a snakeoil salesman who loves himself more than he loves this country. Whether than telling us what he will do, he repeatedly tries to sell us the fact that he was a businessman with years of experience. Okay, but I believe corporate raider would be more accurate. He would work with liberals every chance he gets. RINO!
Santorum, the only use he will be is to endorse R-Money like he did in 2008.
Paul, Fruitloop, antisemite, and a joke beyond comprehension. He needs to fold-up the quackerfactory and move on.
