Oh, goody! Another Pats-Giants SB, just like 4 years ago. I’m quickly starting to believe the games are rigged. Look what happened a week ago. We are to believe that the Packers high power offense disintegrated to the point where it would have a difficult time scoring against a high school team. We are to believe Mike McCarthy was suddenly incompetent enough to call a timeout at the end of the 1st half so the Giants would have another chance to score. We are to believe that with almost half the defense smothering a Giants receiver, they couldn’t keep the ball from him. We are to believe that McCarthy is actually stupid enough to hit the panic button to start the second half with an onside kick. All this against a barely over 500 team. Yeah, right. The high muck-a-mucks wanted a big market team in the SB, so thats what we get.

Well of course the NFL would want a major market team in the Super Bowl. After all, if it was say Kansas City against Minnesota - who would want to see that snoozefest?

Ratings for the SB have proven to be immune to the relative market of the teams. It’s the SB, ratings vary, but they never tank. There’s no reason to rig anything.
