What they don't understand is what the roar means.I think you called it.The roar is passion. The roar is intensity. The roar is pent up frustration. The roar, put another way, is the national mood of conservatives. It is a roar that will demand a fighter. It will demand that those who want our votes must not cower in the face of the liberal template. If fact, it is a roar that demands that we do not accept any liberal templates.
Nice to see that Dickie Morris is still batting a thousand.
Someone finally gets it!
BTTT - a darn fine article. The pundits are stunned for the moment, they never will get it.
Prepare for full assault in the coming weeks.
However, most Americans have a very short attention span and are very fickle.
Dead bang right ... finally!!!!!!!!!!
Grrrrrreat article! Hits the nail on the head.
Excellent, excellent article! One of the best I’ve seen!
When Cain exited like a scared little girl, I totally lost all interest in politics (again)
But Newt’s stand in this debate gave me new hope.
Before the SC debate, I was prepared to vote for Newt only because Romney was totally unacceptable, and Santorum does not carry himself very well (no chance against Obama)
I really hope Newt understands and capitalizes on the passion he tapped in on... because now he has won not only my vote with that debate performance, but also my support.
Damn right I want a fighter.
I think the pundits, like the politicians, live in a bubble of prosperity. I don’t think they have a clue what the rest of the country looks, sounds, or feels like. They dissect and dismember our constitution, our traditions, and our love for country, God, and family. They will never get it because like the politicians they follow around they have lost touch with reality and feed on the taxpayers money.
It’s a roar that will hold their candidate accountable on 2nd Amendment rights, shrinking the size and scope of government, and all the other reasons this candidate won the election. Not Newt bashing...just sayin’.
What amazes me is that someone who is wrong as much as Dick Morris can make a living selling political predictions, analyses,, and consultations
Luckily it won’t take most Americans ... It will take those of us who have been paying attention to stay focused and driven.

“what the voters are craving in the debates and on the stump is someone who can look liberals squarely in the eye and tell them why we are right and they are wrong. The American conservative base has had to put up with being called stupid, racist, greedy and unfair for decades by not only the Democrats but the vast majority of the media. The pent up frustration of these decades is magnified by the fact that George H. W. Bush, Bob Dole, George W. Bush and John McCain would not or perhaps could not confront this.”
Mittsy Flippsy is another mushy Rino who dares not confront the media and cultural elites that attack conservative values on a daily basis.
Newt genuinely despises the elites. As the article states, that’s where he gets his biggest applause lines.
A strange calculus seems to be afoot: The more the elites attack Newt (ex-wife interview on eve of SC primary), the angrier the Republican base become
s and the more they rally to Newt’s defense, especially when he fights back.
The MSM still doesn’t get it. They’ll dredge up all the old charges to derail Newt in the days ahead. Quite possibly it will backfire in their faces.
Thanks for posting. C. Edmund got it right. The public craves passion, and the ability to take the fight to the enemy. This trumps the negatives which are old news.
