http://www.creators.com/opinion/jackie-gingrich-cushman/setting-the-record-straight.html

My mother and I have both recently run into quite a few people who hold an inaccurate understanding of this hospital visit. Many think my mother is dead.

So, to correct the record, here is what happened: My mother, Jackie Battley Gingrich, is very much alive, and often spends time with my family. I am lucky to have such a “Miracle Mom,” as,,,,,

JACKIE GINGRICH IS STILL ALIVE YOU IDIOT!!!!!

I believe Newt’s first wife is alive and well. This urban legend needs to be put to bed.

I’m sure if the Speaker’s initial esposa were still around she’d have some choice words to share about this duplicitous dame. Alas, she is not. But I imagine that Jackie is in heaven right now watching this sordid ABC tabloid smack screaming, “Hey, Jezebel! Go sell crazy somewhere else, devil bird!”

This inaccuracy spoils an otherwise good article. Jackie Battley is very much alive.

I’d love to shoot the msm in the brain, but unfortunately, even they can’t find it.

Adultery is adultery no matter how hard you want to diminish it. A trip down memory lane here on FR, circa 1996-7, would reveal thousands and thousands (perhaps millions) of indignant posts all connecting the character defect (sin actually) with a diminished capacity to lead. Now, of course, the shoe fits a different foot.

I fully grasp that we're on the brink. My relief with the Mittens trouncing last night has not relieved, in any way, my conviction that we're lost without the firm principles of Judeo-Christian morality, the Constitution and the right people to carry them forward. I am equally convinced that Newt isn't suitable.

Pragmatism has been a political watchword for me for 35 years. I have dutifully pulled the lever, carried water and served the ‘R’ party wherever directed. GWB changed that for me after seven years of steadily compromising away all gains made by grassroots conservatives (citizen patriots) and expanding the magnitude of our problems. Debt load, education bill (Ted's actually - per GWB), the astronomical farm bill, TARP, the Iraq fiasco (duh, Iran was/is the problem). I could go on...

A decade earlier, Newt made his headlines on the backs of groundswell conservatism, not the other way around. If you'll recall, this nation was experiencing a genuine grassroots political earthquake on the issues of socialized medical care, abortion and radical gun control. Average people got up on their hind legs and started doing something. When that freshman class got to DC, the establishment promptly shuffled them into safe obscurity. There was never any heroic confection served by the Dole/Newt team that inspired the masses - they were simply looking to find a leader that mirrored their ideals.

I'm simply done with electing the devil I know.

The time will come when words and principle will matter. Our system is drenched with whores willing to say and do anything to get and retain power. Trusting the nation to compromising careerists has taken us to this point as surely as pulling the lever for Obama because, in the end, it is only the principles that matter.

Flame away - I couldn't care less.

My $0.02.

Naughty or nice, Newt is the man!
So don’t start trying
There is no denying.

Obama beware
There’s a man over there
Who has your number in spades
And is going to end your charades
Don’t say we didn’t warn ya
Just scoot back to Kenya that born ya
To your Marxist hell
We don’t wish you well

Tar and feathers are too good for you
These days we do it with Krazy glue
Your Marxist schemes were beyond the pale
Return... and we’ll ride you out on a rail

Get out of America and don’t dare come back
Go live in the 3rd world where you’ll find all you lack

What did she expect? Given that she was his slut before she was his wife, did she really think he’d be an honorable man? She got what she deserved and may Newt get his.

Oh, and by the way, I believe according to Christ that if you look at a woman lustfully you’ve committed adultery in your heart in His holy estimation
...........................................................

I have done that in Church. Sometimes it’s hard not to, the way some women dress in Church these days.

“””Someone help me here. When did Marianne start giving a crap about Gingrich committing adultery? She didn’t mind his “open marriage” policy when she was doing the fig Newton with him while he was married to his first wife, Jackie. I’m sure if the Speaker’s initial esposa were still around she’d have some choice words to share about this duplicitous dame. Alas, she is not. But I imagine that Jackie is in heaven right now watching this sordid ABC tabloid smack screaming, “Hey, Jezebel! Go sell crazy somewhere else, devil bird!””””

When a journalist makes such a major error, the rest of the story needs to be tossed into the trashcan.

Journalists are becoming very lazy and very bigoted.

This kind of judgemental crap is what is turning many people against Christianity. They thump on the Bible when they need a passage to make a point, but conveniently speed-read past the parts about forgiveness, judge not lest ye be judged, etc.

This country is in a nose dive, headed for a total crash, and I don't give a tinker's damn if the pilot who can save us has had 25 marriages, and from what I understand about Marianne Gingrich - as described by people who knew her when they were together - is that she is "bitter", "unbalanced" and has made threats for years to try and ruin Newt.

I would have dumped her too...life is too short to waste it live in misery with a spouse like that, and I don't blame him a bit.

As for the "death bed" rumor, it's always amazing that people who write for public consumption, obviously never READ.

Oh, I forgot. I’ve transgressed. I cannot blame Marianne for her adultery. Only guys, especially conservative guys, are the villains in an adulterous affair. Women, according to the lame stream media and the loons on the Left, are helpless victims who are not responsible for their wanton ways. Hallelujah. Ain’t that convenient?

Blaming the 'other woman' is sexist. It is the MARRIED person in an adulterous affair that is guilty.

I imagine that Jackie is in heaven right now

Why don't you do some basic research before writing an article? (not you Kaslin)
