Stem cell confusion could have dire affects >>

of course there is confusion, that's due to the Democrats in the press and in politics who make it that way to promote the culture of death by using the term "stem cells" when adult stem cells are used successfully. They never make the distinction and they never inform the public that adult stem cells are used for over 70 cures and treatments in humans while embryonic stem cells, to date, have none.

Googling the National Marrow Donor Program mentioned in the OP gives this and this.

(And the map shows they're in Minnesota...like Bachmann and Pawlenty).

Cheers!

NPR has worked very hard to confuse the issue - Without dead babies we cannot save lives.

The horror of newspeak.

The media always says that conservatives want to stop stem cell research and does not distinguish the source. This suppresses donations for research and of stem cells. The lefties want the sound bites more than the cures.

Scientists have been conducting adult stem cell research for more than fifty years. The first line of embryonic stem cells was created in 1998. Scientific research doesn’t necessarily result in successful therapy within the first decade or so.

Certainly there’s no threat that successful adult stem cell research will be abandoned in favor of embryonic stem cell research.
