Yes, Schmidt is the guy you’re thinking of who minmanaged Sen.McCains campaign. He has spewed negative statements about Gov. Sarah Palin during the 2008 election, then for years afterward.

Revenge. It was the GOP Establishment who cut bait on him and pushed him overboard after all the bogus charges. The GOP-E has no spine. Period.
I think I'll buy some stock in duct tape. If Newt is the nominee, the GOP-E will be needing a lot of it soon for their butt cheeks.
If he is as smart as he thinks he is he will ask Allen West to be his VP. I would love that ticket although I am still on Santorum’s train.

I think we all really need to wise up and admit, once the media starts shooting out these “memes” and you begin to hear them repeated ...it’s INSTANTLY time to shut it off, go outside, enjoy the fresh air and just tell the media to go shut it.
At this point, the bias just so transparent it’s laughable.And Newt’s doing a pretty darn good job of fighting it off as well.

some people just don’t see what’s in front of them. Yes, Newt was an insider. But, he doesn’t follow- he leads. That’s his ego-that’s his essence. He can’t change.
So, yes, he can cooperate with the Establishment- so long as it does what he wants to do. Newt always things he’s right- the word “compromise” is in his dictionary, but not in his mind or spirit.

Unfortunately that includes 90% of Fox News and a whole bevy of so-called Conservative radio talk show hosts who are in the tank for Mitt. It will take someone like Sarah Palin to come right out and endorse Newt and campaign with him.
We are going to have the fight of our lifetime on our hands. I have just donated once again to Newts campaign. We all need to do so if we are to have a chance. Lets take Florida folks. GO NEWT GO!
Amen! The Illinois Republican Party that Obama knew became corrupt in order to share the spoils with the 'ruling' party. The corrupt Democrats from Obama on down expect us to cave for money, because that's what they would do. They don't understand principle - at all!
We must hold onto our Tea Party principles and expect our candidates to do the same. Keeping this contest going for a few more states will help. Falling in line behind any candidate, not just Mittens, will not help. I hope we can find a good balance.
