I wish I could be excited. Romney is not my favorite, I have been for Bachmann, Cain, Santorum - really wanted Rubio or Palin to run...but I cannot support Newt against Romney. Newt is weak in everything except rhetoric. Don’t get me wrong, I love his rhetoric - but that’s all he has. He has many of the same past “indiscretions” on policy that Romney has (federal healthcare mandate, global warming etc.)- but added to that, he has an extremely distasteful personal life and he has been nothing but a politician. He screams “establishment”. We need someone who has experience and success in the private sector - someone who understands that it isn’t government that creates jobs. I actually think that the media is purposely playing to Newt’s strengths in order to get Romney out of there - Romney would actually play a grown-up to Obama’s adolesence.
