i am happy alterPaul only has 3.
Was hoping Newt would have had more. SC doesnt give the winner all 25 delegates?
I thought romney wouldnt have any from iowa, am i wrong?
Right now, Fox shows Gingrich with 19 delegates.
SC is being punished by the RNC (?) for moving their primary up to January, so the winner will get a certain amount then the rest are divided by county wins (if I understand it correctly).
Some delegates are awarded based on who go the most votes in congressional districts. WaPo writes there’s still six delegates to be decided; that may be old information. Their counts for Newt and Romney don’t match CBS numbers.

Iowa caucuses did/do not have anything to do with apportioning or committing delegates to the national convention.
Thanks Keith for the help
And here is my answer.
Romney gets 4 SC delegates (CD6, CD1)
Gingrich gets 21 SC delegates.
I'm still a little unsure about Romney getting SC delegates at all- FNC said Gingrich could win in all CD, taking the 25 delegates. We'll see when every vote is counted.
Then, IA: Santorum 13, Romney 12, 3 are unassigned.
NH: Romney got 7, Paul 3 and Huntsman 2. So the total delegates for Romney are 23, Gingrich has 21, Santorum 13, and Paul 3.
Gingrich wins by 14 points and Romney has more delegates?
I think Newt won ALL counties.
Iowa awards MORE delegates than S.C.? I believe the gop needs to redo their primary procedure. Change which states go first..lol.
According to this page, South Carolina awards 11 delegates to the overall winner, plus 2 delegates for each congressional district carried. They have seven congressional districts this year. So, you get all 25 only if you carry all the CDs.
If Newt can turn the tables on Mitt, then so can Rick.
As of now 23 of the 25 are being called for Gingrich the last 2 are still up for grabs.
