What is it about this primary season that causes Republicans to go around the bend? The current beneficiary of the anyone but Romney mania is Newt Gingrich, who may actually win the South Carolina primary tomorrow. I find that astonishing. Gingrich has been mostly out of the public view since he retired from Congress 13 years ago. The most surprising feature of this endlessly surprising political year is that, at age 68, Gingrich has made a comeback.
It is hard to make clear-cut statements about the mercurial and often contradictory Gingrich, but one thing we can say with absolute certainty: he will never be President of the United States. Put aside the fact that he lasted only four years as Speaker of the House before resigning in disgrace, leaving Congress with an approval rating around 15%. Forget that he was the father of the earmark. Never mind his notorious lack of self-control and his attacks on free enterprise. Those are all worthy topics for another day, but for the moment lets just focus on the allegations by Newts second ex-wife that hit the press this week. Apart from all the other good reasons why Gingrich will never be President, Marianne Gingrichs sensational allegations snuffed out any possible hope that Newt can beat Barack Obama in 2012.

Must save this statement until November for the purpose of jamming it down the throats of the author and the poster.

Newt is the bulldozer we've been waiting for.....
Willard is NOT conservative.

I love the lamentations of the Mittbotts in the morning. It smells like ... ozone.
Conan the Barbarian chimes in:
“What is best in life?”
“To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women!!!”
Doesn’t matter who the GOP nominee is, they’re going to get the same savage treatment. Someone who fights back would be nice for a change.
How can Romney stand up against Obama on the issues when they are virtually identical on the issues?
Obama and his minions have been fomenting the OWS movement over the past few months for one reason: they thought Romney was going to be the nominee and he is the epitome of the “1%”. Transferring the anger from an imaginary boogieman into an actual person would have been quite easy. Romney has ZERO shot at winning the presidency.
Good luck in all your future moronic endeavors.
1. I, for one, am sick and tired of seeing this country destroyed because we demand perfection. We are not going to get it.
2. Newt is the only one left articulating what needs to be done to save this country. Paul gets it on economic issues. Santorum gets it on social issues. Newt gets it on all issues.
3. There is not all that much "love" for Newt here compared to GOP candidates of the past (Dubya, Sarah etc.)I, for instance, don't particularly like him. But, oh yes, I'm supporting him.
Romney and BHO BOTH pro-abortion
Romney and BHO BOTH anti-2nd amendment
Romney and BHO BOTH pro-homosexual agenda
Romney and BHO BOTH pro-government mandated health care
and that’s just a start.
If you want to support Romney go ahead, that is on you but don’t try and couch it in how morally bankrupt Gingrich is as a cover for your support for Romney the guy who has said I am a moderate and love working across the isle.
Be honest for crying out loud.
Gingrich makes play for gold vote

The Washington Times
CHARLESTON, S.C. Newt Gingrich has moved to capture some Republican voters who lean toward Ron Paul and other Republicans who were Jack Kemp followers by naming two gold bugs to the Gingrich future team of advisers.
The former House speaker says he intends to appoint investment banker Lewis E. Lehrman, famous in the Reagan era for his red suspenders and gold-standard advocacy, and Jim Grant, editor of Grant’s Interest Rate Observer, as President Gingrich’s Gold Commission - if and when of course Mr. Gingrich wins both the Republican nomination and the general election in November.

That is a good question. Why don't you ANSWER it....or are you a post 'em and leave 'em type of guy?
Romney never met an issue he didn't like both sides of.
A political wilderness, eh?
Now where have I heard that term before?;-)
Here kitty, kitty....kitty.....
Watch out, Jim’s going to purge you for a thought crime.
“Romney”
You obviously know nothing about Romney. He is hardly a Constitutional supporter, a moral man, or of small government.
Sorry honey, it is not anti-Newt it is the pro Romney people who are getting zotted and that is primary because they are literally lying about it.
Pay attention.
