Leftists, MittBots, PaulBots, RINOs, Karl Rove establishment types and trolls of many stripes and colors have one-by-one driven our leading grassroots conservative candidates out of the race. They worked for years on Palin, then Perry, then Cain, then Bachmann, now Newt. When ever a non-establishment, non-RINO conservative gets into the lead they open fire and 24/7 trash and torpedo until they drive them out.
NO MORE!!
If you want to troll and trash our conservative candidates, take your business elsewhere! PaulBots can take it to a liberaltaraian site. RomneyBots to FOX News. RINO trolls to the NY Times. Lib trolls to DU. Abortionist/statist trolls to hell. I dont care where you go, but if youre here to trash Newt 24/7, Im gunning for your azz!!
REBELLION IS HERE!!
WAR IS HELL!!
DONT TREAD ON ME!!

Well Jim, it has been fun but since I won’t be swearing fealty to a man I neither trust nor respect you can zot me as well and give the troops something to cheer about.
To: All
You can thank Governor Rick Perry for Newt’s win in SC.

Awwww...this from someone who thinks nothing of lambasting people ‘without’ pinging them or....pinging a group of demented pack attack individuals that have no problem being vile. Hero-Worship? Nah...we just saw experience and love of country and for it's people; particularly the Service. You act like something is wrong with that. Did you hate Palin too MM? Will have to dig in your posting history a bit.
AND Shame on you Miz. (reaching for my feather to beat you up with ... hang on a second)

I’ll ask the question - where is the line between “trashing” the candidate and asking legitimate questions about their past views / proposed policies?

"I dont know how Newt is put in the same class as Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann, especially with his awesome Global Warming commercial with Nancy Pelosi. "
He doesn't fit in the category of persecuted conservative, Newt represents as much of a threat to the conservative movement as Romney does.

"I have my doubts about if Newt is the best candidate but if he wins I will vote for him in the general."
I will vote for just about anybody in the General Election vs. Obama, but am about as wary of Newt in the Primary as I am Romney. It has come to the point where I do not have a horse in the GOP Primary and am focused on the U.S. House and Senate races as well as state and local races.

Folks are being zotted left and right along with threads being pulled at an alarming rate. If one needs to tread carefully when Newt is the topic I’d appreciate a clear outline as to what is and isn’t acceptable on FR.

It's time to take a stand, and every man & woman is needed to break the death-grip that the socialists have on Washington D.C."Well said Nita! Well said indeed! I heartily concur and you know that you can count on me being on the FRONT lines and not the SIDE lines!

"True, it's your site. Years ago, the draw for me was the open healthy debate on issues and those we elect."
Those were the good old days, the old free for all has been replaced by an echo chamber. Its pretty sad, this used to be an interesting site with some political influence.

I agree, there were those who posted the ugliest of comments over and over. They know who they are, and sadly, I can’t forget who they are now.
All I wanted to do was support my Governor, Rick Perry, and I was called ugly names.

I’ve never fit well into an audience of nodding heads as I have never feared speaking my mind here or anywhere else.
I am not about to change my principles and refuse to stand in fear to say what I feel about anything.
I look at it this way, many others have given up a whole lot more than I in this life, to dare voice an opinion and stand up for what they believed. I stand with them.

It is simple. You are a grown up, supposedly. You know when you are trying to take a jab at Newt.

And no, I'm not a Gingrich supporter. He's smart and good at debating, but he's a RINO and I wouldn't trust him for dog catcher much less the presidency. He's down near the bottom of my list of eligible *cough* Republicans just before Ron Paul. Romney at the very bottom, of course, tied with Giuliani for when hell freezes over.50 posted on Sunday, November 13, 2011 10:42:03 PM by Jim Robinson (Rebellion is brewing!! Just curious, but what changed your mind about Gingrich?
To: NoCurrentFreeperByThatName
Three things. His debate performances. A deeper look at his record of actual conservative accomplishments, and... uh, hmmmm... well. His debate, his record, and... uh, well,.. hmm. oh, yeah and the fact that all other conservatives were dropping like stones and he is our last best hope (the weaker Rick Santorum notwithstanding) of defeating the socialist Marxist establishment and I include Romney in that category.

If we need a person whos been a pure saint since childhood, well find - no one! So very true. I think the true measure of a person, is how they handle themselves after they've transgressed against theirs, or their group's moral code.
Do they even admit to themselves that they've transgressed? Do they show remorse or shame? Do they stand before kith and kin and admit that they were wrong? Do they make amends, or vow to not repeat their mistake?
Or, do they denounce those who would dare reveal their deeds? Do they deny their acts, despite clear evidence of wrongdoing? Once revealed, do they become surly and combative - attacking those who would challenge them? Do they simply lie - or otherwise misdirect the gaze of others?
The answers to those questions reveal the real person, and inform us of whether they're the kind of person we can trust.
