With Americas future at stake in November, I decided to support Mitt Romney for three reasons: his Reaganaut philosophy, executive experience and general-election campaign strengths
Mr. Obamas manifold failings underscore the final issue: electability. Competitors and politicos are already endlessly analyzing this question, so Ill make only three brief points.
First, there is an infinitesimally small chance that Mr. Romney will self-destruct in September or October. No-drama Obama, meet your match. Second, Mr. Romney has the overwhelming lead in endorsements from Republican senators and representativesthe most aware, self-interested community, bar none, regarding our nominees electability. No propensity there to grandiosity or suicide. Third, Mr. Romney shares one of Reagans most important and attractive characteristics: being critical without being angry or scornful.
The late Bill Buckley bequeathed us the right test: Pick the most conservative candidate capable of winning. That is clearly Mitt Romney.

Have you noticed he’s dyed his hair almost every other month.
Just gone a charcoal gray this week. He may have some esteem issues.
Probably was promised a cabinet position.
Oh well.

Bolton is bolting out the gate before the race has started.
The WFB rule for choosing winning candidates gave the nation Joseph Lieberman among others.
It's a flawed premise for two reasons: 1) it's not that easy to know who is "capable of winning" before votes are counted; and 2) the degree of conservativism exhibited by candidates running for office may not persist once they are elected and begin to hold the reins of power.
A candidate's previous conduct in office, his voting record and his personal traits are much more reliable indicators than the perceived "conservatism" he might exude on the campaign trail.
As everyone here should be aware by now, Mitt Romney is a very slick salesman. He says what he has been told will bring the most Republicans to his side, and it works . . so far.
It will not work if by some quirk of fate he becomes the Republican nominee and has to "moderate" his views to get the independent segment of the vote.
Bolton did to Conservatives what Gov. Richardson did to Hillary. Sorry John, Romney isn’t a conservative—I don’t know if Mitt even knows how to define a conservative properly.
John, I fear you have sold out your friends to join the Mitt Bandwagon. You took a risk but being a traitor never pays. Look what happened to Richardson—he sold out his friends the Clinton’s hoping to get something from Obama—he got noting but a lot of legal problems. He betrayed the trust of Bill and Hillary-— a traitor stinks, left or right. The Tea Party will remember John Bolton for this “endorsement” and he will pay a price.
We also loved Powell until we got to know him. Live and learn...
Remember when McCain was our only chance, for many of the same reasons?
Your freakin' RINOs fail!
Mitt must have already offered Bolton Sec of State signed in blood. Its going to be awkward crawling back to Newt if he wins the nomination.
So I guess you’ll just let the liberals keep winning. Good luck with that.
I bet this one leaves even the Romneybots agape!
Not so awesome as all that. Refused to step up when he was called on (and he WAS called on, ket me tell you), and now he’s pushing Romney? Gimme a break.
Do you ever speak to Republicans who aren’t on this website. Most Republicans are not like us.. We are not the average voter. Do not forget that.
John...maybe Newt will find a place for ya.
so cool the peepers hoss
And how many “average voters” do you think John Bolton talks to in a typical day?
?
John. That shark you jumped is gonna bite you in the butt.
Conservative???
Where you been, John?

Why do you think he spent $100,000 to hide his records?

Right - RomBot is the most conservative of the candidates.
Better we know you’re ‘Establishment” now rather than find it our after Newt made you SOS.
Bye Bye, John.
you say: “Dear John Bolton...
Let’s face it...
Romney has more baggage than a Pullman car can hold..”
Maybe that’s why he paid $100,000 to hide his official records?

I wish more people would realize this. Obama is but their newest puppet - but he's dedicated to the cause as he was teethed on it and taught, mentored, nurtured by the worst.
Sometimes I wonder about all those scars on his head. Implants?
There's enough of them to've replaced his whole brain - ;o)
