How will the details revealed by Marianne Gingrich regarding her former husband’s personal life – and Newt Gingrich’s defiant response – play out among the GOP presidential primary electorate?
But it’s worth keeping in mind that even before Marianne Gingrich went public, Newt Gingrich was already facing tough odds when it comes to his support among women nationally — a factor that underscores the argument made by his GOP rivals against his electability in the fall.
There typically tends to be a gender gap in presidential general elections, as women vote more Democratic than men.
But a CNN/Time/Opinion Research survey conducted Jan. 11-12 showed that among national adults, Gingrich faces the biggest gender gap of all the GOP contenders.
If the general election had been held in mid-January – before news of the Marianne Gingrich interviews had broken -- the CNN survey shows President Obama would have taken 54 percent to Gingrich’s 41 percent. Among only men, that gap narrows to a six-percentage point difference: 49 percent for Obama and 43 percent to Gingrich.
But among women, it widens to 18 points: 58 percent for Obama and 40 percent for Gingrich.

Don’t get discouraged; ansell2 tried that same crap with me, accusing me of being a troll because I wasn’t in 100% lock step with his latest dogma. I was starting to get very uptight with that until a good friend reminded me that some here enjoy baiting folks in an attempt to get them to say something intemperate so as to demand a zot. If Newt is the only one left standing, I will vote for him over bam, but I still don’t trust him! I expect ansell2 will have a hissy fit over that, but so what?

By the way, I am not aware of any history between us, I believe your claim of us having posted to each other, but you cannot hold drudges, drag threads around, stalk freepers, and be discovered attacking them, and smearing them on unrelated threads behind their back.
By "contributions" are you talking about money you contribute to F.R.? If so, I hope you're not under the mistaken impression that contributions will keep the zot away. I don't know you but I do know and respect ansell2, that's why I am pinging ansell2 to this reply, common courtesy demands it.

You need to clean up your act, this was a very nasty piece of breaking freeper rules.
If you have something that you want to say to me on some thread that I don’t even remember, then go there and post to me.
There is no rule about pinging someone to a post just because you mention them.
Freepers enforce the rule of pinging someone when you post about them, especially bad mouthing them and attacking them.
I doubt management wants a person destroyed by someone attacking them around the threads with him never even knowing it.
That would be part of holding grudges and dragging baggage around.
You like the concept of that practice?
