British authorities on Friday revoked the licence of Press TV, the Iranian state broadcaster's English-language outlet, saying the channel had breached a string of regulations.

Press TV had also "indicated it is unwilling and unable" to pay a fine of £100,000 ($156,000, 117,000 euros) imposed in December for showing an interview in 2009 with an imprisoned journalist for a US magazine, Ofcom said.

Are our British brethren acquiring intestinal fortitude?
All I can remember is the British Navy crew’s tearful apology to the Iranian Tyranny for violating the latter’s precious “territorial” waters.
I put that in the same league as the Italian cruise ship captain.
The Brits should have vaporized an Iranian naval vessel every day until they got their crew back.
Iran has a press pass in GB but Michael Savage is banned.
The British Empire should make a real statement. Stop buying oil from Iran and give your Italian allies against the rest of Europe and our USA some motivation to do the same.

I dont see why Britain should allow Iran to have any press in the UK. British reporters and journalists are not allowed in Iran. Havent been for years.
