So full of holes, not even worth my time. In any event, Santorum’s out, maybe even within a day. And Hallelujah!
So to reiterate, you oppose all legal protection for children in the womb?
If being pro-life is not conservative, what is it?
I suspect that when Santorum speaks of “Radical Individualism” he is using it in much the same way Bork laid out the term in “Slouching Towards Gomorrah.” In that context he’s addressing something more akin to Revolutionary France circa 1792 than one would have found in “Revolutionary America circa 1776.”
Yes you have, and most of the votes are small parts of megasaurus bills. Anyone who does not think that Rick is a conservative has been duped. Even the leftists are smart enough to understand this, and they know that Rick would be their worst nightmare. Bob
Your euphoria will be short-lived, as there IS no other good candidate.
Santorum is a big government, authoritarian. He’s about more spending, and more laws. He doesn’t get it.
Nice list. I refrained from labeling him a Statist in my previous post.
>> If being pro-life is not conservative, what is it?
One can be Pro-Life without being a Conservative.
Life is the cardinal right of every human’s existence; the issues concerning morality and the laws ‘granting’ liberty are in reality subordinate. In other words, it’s not a contradiction to say the govt has no business regulating morality while stipulating it’s required to protect the unborn.
Your response is false. I get my list straight from the ACU. The votes that I document are out-and-out liberal votes that Rick never should have made. Shall we go through the votes one-by-one?

I would suggest that you find a poster who thinks that Rick isn't a conservative and I would suggest that you post to them about being duped.
My position is that both Newt and Rick have a record of voting and position statements that are about 90% conservative and 10% liberal.
My list documetns part of Rick's 10% liberal voting record and position statements. It sorta matches Newt's 10% liberal voting record and position statements.
Is my point clear enough yet for you, Bob?
Let's consider some other issues of morality:
Lying - you support perjury and similar crimes?
Theft - you don't think the govt should prosecute muggers?
Government legislates morality all the time; otherwise there's no legal system.
So then, in the realm of your brilliant interrogatory analogies, there’s no distinction between abortion and lying, and morality is a function of criminal law.
Don’t support statism. There are too many control freaks in DC as it is.
Trying to divorce morality from criminal justice and government is laughable. Why should anything be a crime if you don't make a moral judgment about what is right and wrong?
Accordingly in human government also, those who are in authority, rightly tolerate certain evils, lest certain goods be lost, or certain greater evils be incurred: thus Augustine says (De Ordine ii, 4): "If you do away with harlots, the world will be convulsed with lust."
Sounds like St. Thomas. Why? This principle doesn't necessitate the legalization of all vices.
For example, considering the current state of our society, I think it wise to continue the prohibition against prostitution (more good than harm), but the decriminalization of some drugs may result in less societal evil (i.e., the elimination of gang violence, but more overdoses and family damage/destruction).
No, it doesn't. But there are a lot of things currently legislated against that we would do well to decriminalize.
Like cutting down trees in your yard. Or buying unapproved lightbulbs.
None of them are great, but Santorum is at the bottom of the barrel. The rest pretend we have no Constitution, Santorum thinks he can make it up as he goes along (Ie. “The tenth amendment means what I say it means,” attitude. Good riddance!)
I know your point, but I believe that Rick is genuine, and Newt is a charlatan. You are free to believe the opposite.
I don't believe the opposite. I don't trust any candidate.
Am I free to believe that ¿
LOL.
