Newt, OTOH, can tear you limb from limb, making you smile and nod the whole time he does it.

Newt comes across as an old history professor with an alternate version of reality who is hopelessly stuck in the past. I really don't give a damn what he did in 1974. I am more interested in why today he thinks we still need a federal government healthcare plan, which 300 pages of Obamacare he plans to include in it, and how many illegals he plans on granting amnesty to. None of these are conservative positions, yet so-called 'conservatives' are supporting exactly that.

One thing that was in it that needs to be retained (I would rather see it retained through separate legislation) Is permitting health insurance sales across state lines... Another is disallowing insurance companies from dropping coverage if you become ill.

Both of these changes are needed and are in obamacare.

I can’t figure it out, either. I guess Romney’s dog is appropriate character information, but Newt’s treatment of his wives? None of our business.

I recall a time when conservatives were about the nuclear family, living one’s beliefs and not just attacking others for not having high moral standards, and the evil of divorce. I guess now that it’s one of ‘ours’ all of that goes overboard.

But I could have sworn we hated Romney because of Romneycare.

“...the most exciting development of the past few weeks is what has been happening up in Massachusetts. The health bill that Governor Romney signed into law this month has tremendous potential to effect major change in the American health system....” [Gingrich and his colleagues] “agree entirely with Governor Romney and Massachusetts legislators that our goal should be 100% insurance coverage for all Americans.” He strongly endorses the individual mandate: “The individual mandate requires those who earn enough to afford insurance to purchase coverage, and subsidies will be made available to those individuals who cannot afford insurance on their own. We agree strongly with this principle.”

This is trolling, I guess. Sorry to get into the facts, and the character, of this New Age blowhard who is for big government intervention in our lives.
