I don't trust him. I think Noot is who Noot thinks he needs to be.
Doesn't mean I won't support him if he comes out on top, but I'm not there yet. I lean toward Santorum at the moment, but I'm not donning pom poms for anyone yet. If Noot gets the nod, then I'll stand in line like a good soldier, swallow my medicine, and pretend I don't feel icky inside.
As I've said before, though, if others’ see things differently, that's okay. I don't mind difference of opinions, and I concede that there are plenty of people (like you) who are far wiser than I am. What I do resent is when those who disagree treat me as though my concerns aren't valid. I also realize no one is perfect, and I'm not asking for perfection, just some consistency...on occasion.
I will freely admit that a lot of my distrust of Noot comes from his more recent actions like the Scozzafava endorsement, the soft Mike Castle endorsement in 2010, the Pelosi couch session, his insistence on man made global warming, etc. etc. On one hand, one can argue the Scozzafava endorsement was necessary to keep his Republican card and make his path to the nomination easier by garnering points with the Republican Establishment and I understand that is a necessity of the political system. I just don't have to like it.
Of course it doesn't matter what I think; I don't get a say in selecting our candidate thanks to Kentucky's late May primary date. :)
I look at it this way, if Newtie doesn’t win the nomination this time, he can always run as a JACKASS PARTY candidate. He’s got enough of a LIEberal record to get support from the DUmocrats.
