Newt! Yuh Magnificent Bastuhd!
I’m all in and settled behind you for your record and word alone.
You gave us Welfare Reform, Lower Taxes and a balanced budget with the Contract with America.
I have read your 21st Century Contract and I believe you can prevail with the majorities we will have in the Senate and Congress.
Certainly you will have a collective impetus to act on your plans which are united with the will of Americans, particularly those who pay Federal Taxes.
I am vesting my hopes with you.
Do not quit.
Do not give up.
If you come up short on loot, let us know and we’ll do what we can but you don’t need as much money as a Mutt.
At least 70% of us don’t want the guy.
I have given again and will continue to do so until I am at the personal cap.
I will also start giving to your PAC as well.
You prevailed against all odds while you were Speaker and I expect you to prevail once more.
Good news! He did what is best for the sake of conservatism as I hoped.
Now, if Gingrich and Santorum could make a POTUS/VP partnership, we can sail past the liberal RINO.
Good. This is important and I respect him for doing it. He should have done so sooner after NH IMHO.
This will now leave Santorum and Newt to split the conservative vote. Perry’s 3-4 percent will not make much differnce in SC. But if Newt shows really strong there and either approaches or defeats Romney, then Santorum should also drop out and support Newt.
That will be the defining moment in the GOP race and the moment the real primary contest finally begins.
Romney (more moderate and being sold to independents by the MSM), Paul (who sappeals to the libertarians, free drug, OWS, and many fiscally conservatives), and Newt (who can articulate conservatoive principles so he not only appeals to independents, but can convert many of them and bring them to the conservative principled way of thinking).
It will come down to Newt or Romney and will probably stretch out into the summer before a decision is made. I view that as good. It will allow the conservative message, more tonned down by Romney and trumpeted by Newt to resound in tens of millions of ears for all of those months. It will also vet them both and hopefully help innoculate the winner against the attacks that will come from Obama who has such a horrible, pitiful and decrepid record that he will only be able to go into attack mode.
If Newt wins it, then picks someone like West to be his VP, then I believe we will decimate the liberals, for President, in the House, the Senate and the States...which is EXACLTY what we need.
That would should help our nominee. Perry is a real outsider so they’d have that, has fresh ideas that would restore this country, and is a fighter. He’d be another Sarah on the road. And he wouldn’t be a figure head like Biden.
But most of all people like me would crawl over broken glass to get that ticket in.
But since when do politicians do what makes sense.
In one fell swoop Perry's taken the heat off of Newt ...for a while, anyway!
Rick, you magnificent bstard :)
Go Newt!
“Your efforts were herculean and laudable.”
Bump
take a look around ya...
;)
Expect some Palin/Perry mixers soon, getting out the vote.
Governor Perry hardly ended with a whimper.
His last debate he blew them away. He was on fire and his passion and intensity has helped to shape this race.
“Good. This is important and I respect him for doing it. He should have done so sooner after NH IMHO”
Sob!!
This is the first article I saw after waking up. A fine birthday present in itself! lol
I think that was Perry’s goal, to go out on a high note, to enhance his VP prospects.
He’s probably the best of what’s left, but unfortunately just couldn’t get any traction.
I'm sick of the media taking out our candidates before we even get to vote (unless it's Romney.
Perry's timing is awesome, as far as I'm concerned. Thank you, Rick Perry!
“A fine birthday present in itself!”
Happy Birthday. I made my third donation to the Perry Campaign as a birthday gift to myself on January 6th. :(
I’ll miss him.
Still plenty of time for his wife to tell him different. Just like before.
