New Santorum ad calls for "Rebellion" against the Republican establishment

Here's Rick Santorum's latest ad, and in my opinion, it's his most powerful broadside against Mitt Romney and the Washington establishment.

REBELLION

This comes on the heels of another Santorum ad that does exactly what the Not-Romneys should all be doing--demonstrating that there is no difference between Romney and Obama.

EASY ANSWER

These hard hitting ads should put to rest any ideas that Rick Santorum is running as a stalking horse for Romney or for the Vice Presidential slot. Santorum is doing exactly what many of us hoped he'd do--hit Romney hard, again and again.

Win or lose, you've got to admire the fact that Santorum is swinging for the fences.

some interesting polls lately pointing out that Santorum is the obvious conservative in the race...

The “Rebellion” ad was obviously heavily influenced by both the Apple “1984” ad, but especially the less famous “Lemmings” ad (which I actually liked more).

We did the “he can’t win” mantra last time and got McLame with Sarah Palin as a “consolation prize”. This time I am back to where I started...picking the BEST MAN for the job.

Since we are still in the primaries you should replace the photo of Obama with McCain.

Since King Hussein III is the direct result of nominating McLame, it fits well as a reminder of the outcome.

Let's see what happens in the only poll that matters. Should be interesting.

I liked this blog article. http://lisagraas.com/blog/2012/01/18/iowa-nh-sc-santorum-antiromney-conservative/

This is a story that will most definitely NOT be seen on TV, at least presented in the logical way that I am presenting it to you. Despite the fact that Rick Santorum was the clear true conservative anti-Romney in Iowa (perhaps even winning Iowa), and despite the fact that Rick Santorum was the clear true conservative anti-Romney in New Hampshire by spending almost no money to edge out Newt Gingrich (who spent a lot of money there), we are being told by Newt Gingrich that our true conservative should drop out and support him.

But wait. A Fox News poll just released shows that voters see Rick Santorum as the “true conservative” in this race.

Meanwhile, Romney is trying to convince voters that he’s really a conservative because Rick Santorum said so when he endorsed him against John McCain. Of course, Rick Santorum does believe Romney is conservative as compared to John McCain, but compared to himself? No. I do think it’s interesting, though, that Mitt Romney seems to think that ad works because voters believe the standard for conservatism today is Rick Santorum. If that is what he means to imply, I’m with him on that.

Okay, so let’s review some things. Both Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich supported bailouts and the individual mandate which is one of the most egregious parts of Obamacare (next to rationing), and these two things are the two things that primarily energized the Tea Party movement to rise up and oppose Barack Obama. Santorum has never supported either the individual mandate or bailouts. He was the author and floor leader on the Welfare Reform Act that Newt is now taking all credit for.

My question is this. If the Republican Party elects either of these two men as the nominee, doesn’t that neutralize the Tea Party movement? Isn’t it an admission that everything the Tea Party stood up for does not matter to Republican voters? ANSWER: Yes. It seems to me that the Tea Party hasn’t a leg to stand on if either Romney or Gingrich are the nominee. It seems to me that the appeal of Newt Gingrich to many on the right doesn’t have anything whatsoever to do with Obamacare or bailouts but has more to do with Newt Gingrich’s willingness to call the president “stupid”.

So, is that what we are now? Republicans are really just an unprincipled bunch of people who just hate Barack Obama for reasons that have NOTHING to do with Obamacare or bailouts, but don’t really stand for anything? Is that it? We just want a nominee who is willing to say Obama is stupid? Really?

Well, not me. I have conservative principles. Rick Santorum has conservative principles. Ergo, I am voting for Rick Santorum. No-brainer. My reasoning is pretty well explained in this ad from Catholic Vote which has endorsed him.

Excellent ad!! I love it. Sent him some $$ today. He can bear Romney as well as Obama. First he’s got to win over the people who are currently enamored of Newt’s superior debating. Newt is not in the least trustworthy and can’t handle his own personal life or money, and would be a horrible President, but he can wow ‘em with saying the right things and knowing things. It’s hard to see past that, and to know that Newt would NLT be a good steward of the presidency, Hed give us 4 years max, if he doesn’t get flustered and lose control from Obama, who can be pretty cool and detached. Newt is an emotional hot mess. He could lose.

Exactly, my friend AiT. Tomorrow it may become evident that Mr. Historic has only won the one place we knew 6 months ago he would win. A state where he has a home. A liberal state with an open primary. Biiiiiig Whoooop.

And the top Non Romney will be our caucus winner, Santorum. I hope it comes out that way. He’s decent, conservative, good, and not an emotional basket case like Gingrich. We can trust him with the presidency. If he plays his cards right he could help us get 16 years of conservatism in the executive branch and a great Supreme court.
