Walberg had been booked on Flight 11 from Boston to Los Angeles but changed his ticket at the last minute to attend the Toronto Film Festival. That flight, piloted by mastermind Mohamed Atta, was the first to hit the World Trade Center. I don’t think any passengers on flight 11 knew what was going to happen. Well the men of Flight 93 thought the same thing, as Wahlberg. But they knew the end game, and stopped another terrorist attack.

OTOH, we have plenty of people on FR, and conservatives in general, who don’t wait around for someone in authority to solve their problems. The people on the other flights thought it was just a typical hijacking and they’d be landing in a foreign country where they’d wait for demands to be met and they’d be free. Sort of like lawyers telling us we have to retreat to the furthest room in our homes before we can defend ourselves against home invaders. I grieve for those who perished in the buildings and on those flights but passengers on 93 made the right call. Maybe Walberg really feels that he could have convinced the others to take over the plane, too. There was a martial arts expert on the Dulles flight. I always wondered about that.
