Did you see the ship...He absolutely had a better window from the shore....

The idea of the Coast Guard asking him how many dead, how many people...

The Coast Guard needed to get their as**** over there and do "rescue". Why weren't they on board?? Oh....Because it would be stupid at that point??

The boat is beached for cripes sakes....

He wasn't on shore. He was floating around in a lifeboat avoiding responsibility. The absolute worst thing a Captain can do is abandon ship, especially when it is still loaded with passengers who were not given the evacuation procedures prior to the wreck. There is no way you can defend the actions of this Coward. As the ships Captain, the safety of the lives on his ship are his responsibility.

I can’t believe you are still defending the indefensible Chicken of the Sea captain. Is he kin to you, or do you think he is a hottie? Nothing else makes sense.

"He absolutely had a better window from the shore."

As Captain his job was not to have an #$%@ing better view.

It was to be ON HIS SHIP, at the center of the disaster, hands on evaluating and directing the evacuation, giving orders, leading by example and most of all personally assuming the largest risk upon himself - until either he was sure the last possible surviving passenger or crew member was off the ship or the ship was about to go completely under. PERIOD!
