As usual, she is on fire. She definitely doesn’t like Mitt, and for the right reasons. I think she would be okay with Newt.

She must have read my posts..haha Been saying Newt is strategically the one to vote for IN SC. Doesn’t matter if you support him for President.

I did not hear her says she’d vote Newt. She pointedly refused to endorse and wanted the process to move forward. But she did call Romney a “moderate” and that is telling.

Thank you, Gov Palin, for finding a diplomatic way to come out from behind the A(nybody)B(ut)O(bama) curtain just in time to give your SC supporters a heads up about how to best cast their votes to stop Romney.

Here's hoping it gives Newt a SC boost. We need this to happen!

I have said this since her husband endorsed him. There is no way the two of them would not endorse the same candidate. It’s unthinkable. (If they didn’t, they would have kept their endorsements private, IMHO.)

In any event, I have to say, while I don’t love Newt, I do like him. I was very impressed with his debate performance last night. I have always said, I’m sick of politicians saying they created jobs, blah, blah, blah. They don’t, the only thing they can do is get out of the way. Last night, when he said that he and Reagan created jobs, and corrected himself, saying that the people created jobs, within the framework of what they set up, I was amazed. Finally some one gave credit where credit was due.

He has a fiery passion that I like. I disagree with him on a number of issues, but I think last night’s debate was a big turning point for me. Newt was on fire! Romney was Romney, Perry looked even less significant and ready to jump out (he will by Monday, folks, I’m almost willing to bet it) Santorum was as angry as ever (and off putting to go with it), and Paul looks less and less “with it” each debate. I know that he’s more intelligent and articulate than what he comes off as in a debate, but while I agree that he is a conservative in the sense that he’s the only one talking about conserving the Constitution, there’s just too much that he doesn’t seem to get on foreign policy (You can uphold the Constitution and still make oodles of bad and dangerous decisions). In fact, Paul’s starting to look more and more confused and a little batty.

I wish we had a better field, but we’ve got what we’ve got. I think Newt may be my candiate. I will never support Santorum because I don’t need his level of Big Government in my life (no one does). Newt’s far from perfect, but he has the intellect, experience, and arguably wisdom to get things done. I think he has been maturing politically over the last few years.

I don’t mind people changing their views with time, as long as it’s a maturation. It’s called growth. In fact, it’s a good thing for everyone. I just hope that Newt continues to grow and become more conservative with time, and have more inspiration and epiphanies as President.

She also endorsed John McCain when he was up for re-election to the Senate.

Smart advice. Get behind Newt for SC, to help block Mitt and keep the process going. Not really an all-out ‘endorsement,’ but a deft way to try to block Mitt from running away with everything. Then, look at the lay of the land as Florida approaches, see how the Newt/Santorum/Perry options starts breaking out.

She CLEARLY doesn’t want Romney!
