I think it posted....YIPPEE!!!
Did you have a good day? An easy commute?
It is just plain COLD here.

You Are Artistic |
You are a highly creative person. Making things makes you feel satisfied. And while you enjoy creating art most, you can definitely also appreciate the art of others.
You are original and expressive. You follow your own rules and do things your own way. You appreciate any attempts others make at self-expression. You like it best when people can be themselves. |

Aloha Doc!
Good for you for sending that along. I have a old photo of my father too which isn't so flattering and will never publish it. It was taken a Tsing Tao China Fleet Club when he made Chief. You can imagine why.

I sent off for it several weeks ago - got a pretty good package but I need to follow up with them for more records - particularly from his enlisted service in WWII and Korea.

Are you travelling to OKC or are they coming to you?
How can this possibly be 5 years?????
To: BIGLOOK
Aloha, Biglook! I have what we used to refer to in the Nav as a sh**pot of photos I need to get scanned in before I give up the ghost. Can't recall anything that would embarrass the Pater although I do have one of him in quarters on board the USS Borie (DD-704) in Korea in his skivvies.

Thanks, Mayor, for today’s sustenance for body and soul.

I’m traveling up there. It’s crazy that she AND Adelaide are 5 years old this weekend!
Looks like it’ll be good traveling weather, too.

When I was doing genealogy, it was always fun getting information about family members that I hadn’t seen before.
I had a long lost cousin send an e-mail with pictures of my
grandfather...and they were the first I had ever seen of him.
Gave me chills. :)

Just imagine the celebration of a newly promoted Navy Chief in a foreign port just after the war....getting ready to sail home in 1945 or 46.
I've got the original and both my brothers have copies. It isn't that bad....it was done by the photographer in the club but he was three sheets to the wind. All the rest we have are respectable...all gold chevrons and hash marks. He was a tin can sailor too.
