CARSON CITY — Synthetic drugs that mirror cocaine and marijuana are showing up more often in Nevada, and some state legislators are unhappy that the state Pharmacy Board has not taken action to ban them.

Assemblywoman April Mastroluca, chairwoman of the Legislative Committee on Health Care, said it’s been almost a year since the 2011 Legislature discussed the problem and she is frustrated the Pharmacy Board had not adopted a regulation to prohibit the “synthetic cannabinoids and bath salts.”

That would be the end to half the population of Supplemental Social Security's ADD addiction to ritilin (synthetic cocaine).

Little kids would no longer be able to traffic in that drug.

Pharmaphobics. Why don’t these people devote their time to actually doing something constructive instead of wringing their hands over other peoples chemical intake.

If we would just have a police state, all of this would be solved. Or we could allow people to do what they want, cut off all ability to live off of taxes, arrest them when they steal, hurt or kill others, and leave them to live or die on their own?

Synthetic drugs that mirror [...] marijuana wouldn't be in demand if real marijuana, which has never directly caused a death, hadn't been criminalized. Every death from these drugs can be laid at the door of Reefer Madness.
