I’m not voting for Romney. Period. If that means Obama gets back in then I really don’t care. The GOP is not owed my vote and the insistence of the GOP old fart leadership in running POS candidates like Romney, McCain, Dole, and, frankly, GW Bush has become tiresome. If the price of getting an actual conservative into the White House in 2016 is four more years of Obama then so be it. If anything, four more years of Obama assures a conservative win in 2016.
Meanwhile, I will invest my effort and donations on supporting Tea Party candidates for Congress.
Since FR is the premier forum for conservatives, I think the author read here and doesn’t like a lot of us independent thinkers. Texas is largely Republican and my county is about 90% Republican. Our state party is ready to endorse whoever is the candidate and from what I hear, they think it will be Romney. The electoral votes of Texas will go to whomever is the Republican candidate.
I have worked with our state party, but I vote my convictions – did not vote for McCain and won’t vote for Romney. The only thing I can do, is to keep sending money to Newt Gingrich now to try to prevent Romney from winning.
Don’t stay home if Romney is the candidate – vote for your Republican candidates for US Representative, US Senator, state offices and county offices.
Attend your precinct convention so you can be a delegate to the county convention so you can be a delegate to the state convention. Here is what happened all over the US in 2008:
Ron Paul people flooded precinct conventions, some had enough there to vote their own person to run it, then they flooded the county convention and took those over, and that meant gobs of Paul people at the state convention where our state platform is originated. Then, they went on to the national convention to try to get their planks in our national platform.
THINK ABOUT A BROKERED NATIONAL CONVENTION THAT COULD HAPPEN: WHO ARE THE NATIONAL DELEGATES GOING TO BE? PAUL PEOPLE BECAUSE THEY TOOK OVER OUR PRECINCT AND COUNTY AND STATE CONVENTIONS? AND PAUL BECOMES THE CANDIDATE?
