my problem with newt is his off-the-cuff, flippant ‘solutions’ he has to every perceived problem - many are bad ideas that he will defend at all costs - and most involve yet another government program
it is NOT a government function to instill a strong work ethic in kids - instead of saying that, newt’s ‘solution’ is another government program
newt is smart - but not as smart as he thinks he is

I don't know if any human has ever existed that was truly as intelligent as Noot thinks he is. And you're right; it appears as if Noot's first reaction is to look toward the almighty Government for a solution. Government doesn't exist to solve our problems. It exists to provide National Defense, to oversee basic infrastructure as needed, and to not meddle in our daily lives. Of course, I'm not like Ron Paul, and think we need to pay 0 taxes (wtf? who would pay for all Paul's earmarks), but I think you cut the unnecessary functions of government and it'd be surprising how few tax dollars are truly needed for a perfectly constitutional and functioning government.
He's also incredibly thin skinned. What happens if Obama runs a negative ad? Is he going to flip out like he did here? He's somewhat unstable.
