Look for it on Pawn Stars. But they won’t but it.
"The hearse was built by the Miller-Meteor company as a display vehicle to introduce the new model year body at the National Funeral Directors Association Convention held in Dallas in October of 1963. At the end of the convention, the O'Neal Funeral Home bought the hearse not knowing that just a month later, on November 22, they would use it to transport the body of President Kennedy."
But...But It won’t pass an emissions test.
Back in the day, was it a big deal for the families to know their loved ones were being carried the hearse that transported JFK? Was that a big sell in the funeral arrangements?
I’m so sick of hearing about JFK. The man was a womanizer, and he was a pig.
Glad he’s gone.
Where did you find that picture?
FMail?
Ha. Google image.
Thanx. I’m good on opinion and lazy on research.
Well, the Lincoln he was shot in is on display in the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI. The limo that Reagan used is also there, I believe.
Thanks, I agree!
I suppose not, since the blurb that I found (upthread) stated that the O'Neal Funeral Home bought the hearse *not* knowing that it would be used to haul Kennedy's carcass.
Now, if it had said that the funeral home bought it while knowing that it *would* be so used - my, wouldn't the conspiracists have fun with that?
I think you missread my post.
The hearse stayed in service for the O’Neals for a few more years and then another funeral home bought it for use.

“Does it look the way it did back then?
A collector — a member of our club — owned it after the second funeral home painted it a brown, sort of a dark gold color, and he repainted it white and restored it in the 1990s.”
I'm afraid to look, but I'll bet there's even a website.
Try reading the article, this is explained.
Good question. We all know the answer, but imagine historians 100 years from now!
Any day now you’ll be able to buy a 2013 year model. Oh, and by the way, have you seen the May issue of Playboy magazine on newstands now?
