Santorum: Romney Engaged in Outright Lies
RCP ^ | 1/16/2012 | RCP

@6:38 - Santorum: This is the kind of outright lies and the hypocrisy that Gov. Romney is engaged in, not just with Newt Gingrich now but with anybody who stands in his way. You can get away with it, obviously, if you’ve got millions of dollars to spend and you go out there lying and people don’t hold you accountable. Well, we are. And let me assure you that everybody else in this race is going to start to do the same.

@8:48 - Ingraham: Are you going to take the gloves at the debate tonight?

Santorum: Laura you know me well enough to know that when I believe that something, when I believe an injustice has been done that I stand up against that injustice and that has been the case here and been the case repeatedly throughout this campaign. That Mitt Romney has not been truthful to the American public about his record.

@9:14 - Ingraham: Is [Romney] a liar? You said [his TV ads] are filled with lies. He knows what is in the ads so is he a liar?

Santorum: You know liar means--has he perpetrated lies? Yes he has. I’m not going to judge him as a person I am going to judge what his actions are and his actions were not truthful.

Gee Rick... Didn't seem to bother you too much back there in Iowa. Oh... That's right. None of the crap was being slung your way. Instead it was all going towards your competition. Today however, Rick Ranger is going to stand up and fight the injustice!

Be great if Perry and Santorum gang up on Romney, (Perry for one seems to rile him the most), and then maybe Newt can appear presidencial again by going after Obama while the rest of them go after Romney.

Bottom line, and I am happy that Santorum is showing some guts, that it ain’t over until the fat lady sings.

My that sure is pretty... Wonder how it will look on your bumper as it (and Santorum) fades into history?

Of our choices, if we don’t get behind Newt, Romney wins this.

Nobody here wants Slick Willard (well, aside from the trolls), but Newt still can’t win. Santorum can.

It is time for people to get real. You think Mr. Sweater Vest, Perry or the nut Paul can win? Give me a break!! There is only one that can take Romney out and that is Newt.

We are being set-up big time.

Out of curiosity... Tell me... If you are from S.C., or hypothetically were... What if the polls that come out on the eve of the S.C. primary show that Newt is within striking distance of Romney and Santorum is hopelessly way behind - what will you do then? Who will you cast your vote for? Would you still pull the lever for Santorum?

It’s good to see Rick Santorum finally gettng serious about taking out RINO Romney but it may be too little, too late for Santorum to win the S.C. GOP primary. We’ll see what happens in the debate tonight but I think Romney is going to get bruised, as he should. If Newt Gingrich were to surge in the next few days, I could vote for him but with some reservations due to his mercurial nature and his occasional outbursts of Beltway mentality (big government ‘solutions’ to every problem). Santorum has his deficits but he is basically conservative and a serious candidate who has been overlooked by the media and so, too many conservatives have taken their cue and assumed Santorum was an also-ran before any votes had been cast. Yes, Santorum still has a mountain to climb but at least he’s going to try. If Gingrich can beat Santorum next Tuesday, then I’ll go with Newt, reservations and all, because he’s a whole lot more conservative than Romney and light-years better than the Kenyan Marxist in the White House, Barack Hussein Obama.

It is time for people to get real, yes. If you folks can outline a scenario where Newt can win a general election, please let us know. Counting on collective amnesia doesn’t cut it.

You know what one definition of insanity is ? Casting a vote for someone in a primary who can’t win a general election. Not only insane, but stupid and less than useless.
If our goal is to beat Zero, you can’t take him out with someone even more unpopular. It ain’t just about taking out Slick Willard. We have to do both.

Extra Extra, read all about it.

Neither Rick can win SC! If Romney wins neither Rick has a prayer after SC.
