Thank you for posting this!!!! I feel like there are many many others of us out there who feel the same way.
I have a question though.
What should NEWT do if he barely loses SC, then Rick Perry bows out of the race, then NEWT barely loses FL and Santorum bows out of the race?
I’m saying he stays in it until he’s toe to toe with Romney and then all can see the difference between the men.
Newt does not need to go negative with anyone...He just needs to stay on message, but the message has been diluted because you have four or five other candidates out there, the media and the republican establishment all going against him.
Did you watch the video?
There is not doubt he can, and in fact I have sent in this question many times, but no one takes it up to him:
“Newt, everyone knows you’re the smartest one in the room, but can a History professor lead this country and the world?”
I think his answer would draw from his experience that conservative principles work, and that he would also draw from the wide experiences of our founding fathers, and from other presidencies.
NEWT HAS DONE IT BEFORE. NONE OF THE OTHER CANDIDATES CAN SAY THIS.
Also, AND THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION. We need a solid conservative candidate that can articulate clearly the differences between Obama’s Saul Alinsky’s ideas and his own vs a moderate who message will be muddled and not clear.
Until then I vacillated between Newt and Santorum.
Newt held the crowd in the palm of hand.
Santorum said all the right things.
Newt is the leader.
Newt will do what the personalities of Romney and Santorum do not allow them to do. Give Newt the nomination and he will grab the Kenyan by his Marxist throat and never stop squeezing.
People like you make me feel better. Much better. God bless you!
We have great people in the race, any one of them can beat Obama, but we can’t afford another learning curve presidency, plus Romney is a clear compromiser. He will try and try to appease and schmooze the Harry Reid’s out there.
Newt goes in running.
If Perry, Santorum, Cain, Palin, Trump etc etc along with the people already with him like Thomas Sowell, Laffler etc... Newt will get the nomination and win.
But not just that. It will be a huge reset for our young people and those coming here. It will renew the message of 200+ years ago, when we became a nation.
The Republican Leadership, and I mean the RINO’s who run the party do not want Newt. They want Romney.
Newt is too smart for them, and Romney is one of them, A Rino. More Democrat than Republican.Romney really should be running in the Democrat primary against Obama.
That would be because Newt is a teacher by profession. However, his teaching abilities do not translate to leadership abilities. (See: Lecturer Baraq Obama)
You've been told this many times in the past. As Republicans you're constantly told, "Well, you can't really have what you really want because, you know, if you put a real strong conservative up there, across the board on national security and on moral/cultural issues and on economic and spending issues then we'll have a hard time winning. And we need to win."Watch the entire 6 minutes here. And who's saying that to you? People who don't share your values. And they want you to compromise your values so they can have their values represented on a national ticket. Don't defer your judgment!
---snip---
I find it really incredible that, and I hear this a lot, and legitimately so, where people say to candidates running for office, "Why do you compromise?" Why do you compromise?" Why do you compromise on this or that?" "Why don't you stand for your pinciples?"
Why don't YOU stand for your principles?
You want your leaders to lead? Lead them!
Yes!!!! YOu are spot on.

What really gripes the hell out of me, is that people like Rush and Hannity and Coulter and Levin and all those other fair weather phonies have been saying this very thing...and now we have a candidate who articulates these ideas BETTER than anyone ever has, and WHERE ARE THEY? They’re skirting for Romney....
I know Santorum is saying this, and he’s a good man, but he cannot get the job done. Sorry, maybe as a VP or some other office but not the president. Sorry, Santorum has not paid his dues. He will in the end compromise.
“Why don’t YOU stand for your principles?”
Sorry, it’s one thing to have some tag line in your campaign, but there are sheep out there who like turds in the ocean couldn’t describe their principles if their life depended on them. That, in it’s purest and best sense, is why we have politicians. They articulate these things for us. Unfortunately they are seldom clear.
This time things are quite clear. You have Obama on the left, Romney in the middle and Newt on the right.
Oh, and one more thing. So here we are in SC and who does Santorum go after? Newt.
Ok, so he’ll probably get a little bump, which means he’ll still be carrying himself in that arthritic looking sweater vest that my grandfather used to wear, down to Florida where he’ll split the votes again.
“Newt, I’m talking to you. Stay in the race. Stay in until it’s just you and Mittens.”
Gosh I hope so.
BTTT
GO NEWT!
